She is a make- up artist who come from Pekanbaru and cu- rrently gains her experience in one of the Bridal Salon in Medan. She initially collected cosmetic products then she found herself interested in being a Make-Up Artist (MUA) after. As time went by, she gained her experien- ce by learning and applying those make-up products to her siblings, her family members and her closest friends. She got positive feedbacks that boosted her motivation towards being an MUA (Make-Up Artist). Being an MUA is her current passion, where she can make every woman feels confident with their own beauty, by applying the right make-up techniques and products that can supplement that beauty. Momenta- rily, this passion becomes the sole motivation of her aspiration to be a good MUA. 3 Ms.Sherlie believes that every woman is beautiful. She can cover the imperfections of the canvas by putting on the right make-up products to enhance the beau- ty of every woman. Personally, the favorite aspect of being an MUA is the pure joys from seeing her clients lighten up after she applies make-up on them. Their expressions are undeniable, their eyes radiate with joy and confidence. Women can look pretty without thick make-up by using the right shades and the right tech- nique. “Remember make-up is not a mask to hide our beauty. In contrast, make-up is an art, make-up is self enhancement,” according to Ms.Sherlie. You Tube Bloggers such as PatrickStarrr, Jefreestar, Michellephan and Ponysmakeup are her greatest inspi- rations. They inspire her because, in their make-up tu- torial videos, they show the right make-up techniques, give their personal reviews on make-up products and advice various possible ways to make woman beauti- ful. “If these YouTube Bloggers can inspire me to make something useful and meaningful for others and us, out of our love and hobby at the same time, I would say go ahead with your passion. Take a risk and stop wasting time doing what you do not like”, Ms.Sherlie advices. 4 HOT TOPICS 2018 Angels Every year, the Victoria’s Secret brings the Angels together with the famous bejeweled to put on a glittery Catwalk Show.
