Typically, when doing research on terrorism and the media, researchers draw samples from large, national media organizations and recently, the focus has been on the media's presentation of 9/11 and other large, very publicized terrorist events. In contrast, since 9/11, scholars have not paid as much attention to smaller terrorism cases, especially concerning how they were represented in their respective local media outlets. It is important to explore the many communicative paths of terrorism discourse, not just the most prominent. The present study addresses this neglected area of research by analyzing coverage of terrorism in the local context. The ethnocentric distinction between the “us” and “them” binary of terrorism is examined by studying how two local news sources present incidents of terrorist-related activities where the accused is somehow identified with the local community. My hypothesis is that when the accused is located close to home, assumptions about terrorism -- the identity of terrorists, the reasons given for terrorism -- are blurred. This research found that being from the community does affect the coverage of the events and the treatment of the accused.

Selain itu peneliti juga menggunakan teori Computer Mediated Communication, konsep New Media, dan konsep Media Sosial sebagai teori pendukung dalam menganalisa penelitian. Hasil penelitian dan analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan elemen-elemen teori performa komunikatif seperti menilai performa ritual, performa hasrat, performa sosial, performa politis dan performa enkulturasi masing-masing individu. We extend our congratulations to you on your decision to marry not only out of friendship but out of the belief that your marriage to be sacred and Christian. Since the dedication of our church in 2008, our sanctuary has been the sacred place in which hundreds of couples have exchanged their wedding vows. This Wedding Guidelines booklet provides couples with detailed information from setting the date through the actual wedding day activities. Please let your preparing clergy member or Holy Trinity staff know of any questions you may have. Weddings take place on Saturdays at 11AM and 2PM. Weddings may take place on weekdays and evenings if they do not conflict with other parish activities and if a clergy member is available. Weddings cannot take place on Sundays or non-abrogated Holy Days of Obligation. Visiting Priests/Deacons are welcome to celebrate your wedding at Holy Trinity. Priests and/or Deacons functioning in a liturgical ministry in a wedding Mass or ceremony must meet the requirements of the Diocese of Arlington. If the cleric (priest or deacon) is neither an Arlington diocesan cleric nor a religious order cleric with stable faculties (i.e. permission to minister) in the Arlington Diocese, then he must present to the pastor of Holy Trinity, either: (1) A letter of good standing form his diocesan bishop or religious superior or (2) A current celebret (document from his bishop or religious superior stating that he is in good standing).
