In this study we use a Nd isotope combination of bulk sediment geochemistry, Nd and Sr isotope geochemistry, and single grain zircon U-Pb Erosion dating to understand the source of sediment in the modern drainage. We also performed zircon U-Pb dating on Provenance Eocene sedimentary rocks sampled by International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Expedition 349 in order to Pearl River constrain the source of sediment to the rift before the Oligocene. -

Additionally, Hubei Province is well-known for its diverse landforms, including mountains, hills, mounds and plains. This area is called “The Province of Thousand Lakes” due to the abundance of water resources. Geographical names are exclusive names given to physical or anthropogenic geographic entities at specific spatial locations and are important signs by which humans understand natural and human activities. In this study, geographic information systems (GIS) technology is adopted to establish a geodatabase of geographical names with particular characteristics in Hubei Province and extract certain geomorphologic and environmental factors. -

Therefore, its tourism interpretation shall be better and better. The tourism interpretation of Leshan Giant Buddha concerns many cultural factors. Based on Skopostheorie, this paper discusses how to deal with the cultural factors in guide interpretation of Leshan Grand Buddha from the following three aspects: names of scenic spots, four-character phrases and classical Chinese poetry. CC BY 4.0 License. 1 Abstract: Although the parameters of hydrological models are usually regarded as 2 constant, temporal variations can occur in a changing environment. Thus, effectively 3 estimating time-varying parameters becomes a significant challenge. Following a 4 survey of existing estimation methodologies, this paper describes a new method that 5 combines (1) the basic concept of split-sample calibration (SSC), whereby parameters 6 are assumed to be stable for one sub-period, and (2) the parameter continuity 7 assumption, i.e., the differences between parameters in consecutive time steps are small. 8 Dynamic programming is then used to determine the optimal parameter trajectory by 9 considering two objective functions: maximization of simulation accuracy and 10 maximization of parameter continuity. The efficiency of the proposed method is 11 evaluated by two synthetic experiments, one with a simple two-parameter monthly 12 model and the second using a more complex 15-parameter daily model. -

The PAH levels were generally low over the year; however, the PAH concentrations increased according to one of two seasonal trends, which were either an increase in PAHs during the cold period, influenced by heating, or a PAH enrichment during the wet period due to higher run-off inputs. The major PAH source was the combustion of fossil fuels and biomass, but a minor input of petrogenic PAHs in some seasons was observed. Higher PAH concentrations were observed in fresh and brackish water compared to the saline waters in the Tumen River estuary, while the PAH concentrations in both types of water were similar in the Partizanskaya River estuary, suggesting different pathways of PAH input into the estuaries. -

It has been widely believed that there should be a natural hybrid population in the distribution of Pinus massoniona Lamb. and Pinus hangshuanensis Hsia, that is, the excessive type of external form between Pinus massoniana and Pinus taiwanensis exist. This paper mainly discusses the traits and clustering analysis of coniferous lozeng in Huangshan scenic area. This study will provide a theoretical basis for the classification of long and outstanding Huangshan Song and so on. At the same time, it will provide reference for the phenomenon of gene seepage between the two species. Introduction 1.1. Research background Huangshan Song distribution in eastern China’s subtropical high mountains, more than 700m above sea level. Masson pine is widely distributed in the subtropical regions of China, at the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, vertically distributed below 700m above sea level, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River area, the vertical height of up to 1200 - 1500m or so. In the area of Huangshan Song and Pinus massoniana, an overlapping area of Huangshan Song and Pinus massoniana was formed between 700 - 1000m above sea level. -
