CAD/CAM Selection for Small Manufacturing Companies Master of Science in Management Technology Linards Stradins 2/2000 71 pages Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association In today's fast paced world, CAD/CAM systems have become an essential element in manufacturing companies throughout the world. Technology and communication are changing rapidly, driving business methods for organizations and requiring capitalization in order to maintain competitiveness. Knowledge prior to investing into a system is crucial in order to maximize the benefits received from changing CAD/CAM systems. The purpose of this study is to create a methodology to aid small manufacturing companies in selecting a CAD/CAM system. The objectives are to collect data on CAD/CAM systems that are available in the market today, identify important criteria in system selection, and identify company evaluation parameters. Acknowledgements Thanks to Dr. Rich Rothaupt for introducing me to CAM, survey help, and providing guidance with CAD/CAM applications. Thanks to Dr. Martha Wilson for early revisions, survey help and overall guidance. Thanks to my good friend and soon to be Dr. Linards Stradins for his patience, leadership, and wisdom. His invaluable knowledge and dedication as my advisor has helped me both personally and academically.

Publication history: Received on 09 April 2020; revised on 13 April 2020; accepted on 15 April 2020 Article DOI: https://doi.org/10.30574/gscbps.2020.11.1.0099 Abstract Coronavirus infection has turned into pandemic despite of efforts of efforts of countries like America, Italy, China, France etc. Currently India is also outraged by the virulent effect of coronavirus. Although World Health Organisation initially claimed to have all controls over the virus, till date infection has coasted several lives worldwide. Currently we do not have enough time for carrying out traditional approaches of drug discovery. Computer aided drug designing approaches are the best solution. The present study is completely dedicated to in silico approaches like virtual screening, molecular docking and molecular property calculation. The library of 15 bioactive molecules was built and virtual screening was carried towards the crystalline structure of human coronavirus (6nzk) which was downloaded from protein database. Pyrx virtual screening tool was used and results revealed that F14 showed best binding affinity. The best screened molecule was further allowed to dock with the target using Autodock vina software.

Telephone: 08-665 28 00 APPLICATION OF COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN (CADD) IN DATA DISPLAY AND INTEGRATION OF NUMERICAL AND FIELD RESULTS - STRIPA - PHASE III D. E. Press S. M. Halliday J.E. Gale Fracflow Consultants Inc. St. John's, Nfld., Canada December 1990 This report concerns a study which was conducted for the Stripa Project. The conclusions and viewpoints presented in the report are those of the authors and do not necessarily coincide with those of the client. A list of other reports published in this series is attached at the end of the report. Information on previous reports are available through SKB. 11 Abstract Existing CAD/CADD systems have been reviewed and the micro-computer compatible solids modelling CADD software SilverScreen was selected for use in constructing a CADD model of the Stripa site. Maps of the Stripa mine drifts, shafts, raises and stopes were digitized and used to create three- dimensional images of the north-eastern part of the mine and the SCV site. In addition, the use of CADD sub-programs to display variation in fracture geometry and hydraulic heads have been demonstrated. The database developed in this study is available as either raw digitized files, processed data files, SilverScreen script files or in DXF or IGES formats; all of which are described in this report.

PART I METHODS COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL CHAPTER 1 Overview of Thermochemistry and Its Application to Reaction Kinetics ELKE GOOS Institute of Combustion Technology, German Aerospace Center (DLR), Stuttgart, Germany ALEXANDER BURCAT Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel 1.1 HISTORY OF THERMOCHEMISTRY Thermochemistry deals with energy and enthalpy changes accompanying chemical reactions and phase transformations and gives a first estimate of whether a given reaction can occur. To our knowledge, the field of thermochemistry started with the experiments done by Malhard and Le Chatelier [1] with gunpowder and explosives. The first of their two papers of 1883 starts with the sentence: “All combustion is accompanied by the release of heat that increases the temperature of the burned bodies.” In 1897, Berthelot [2], who also experimented with explosives, published his two-volume monograph Thermochimie in which he summed up 40 years of calori- metric studies. The first textbook, to our knowledge, that clearly explained the principles of thermochemical properties was authored by Lewis and Randall [3] in 1923. Thermochemical data, actually heats of formation, were gathered, evaluated, and published for the first time in the seven-volume book International Critical Tables of Numerical Data, Physics, Chemistry and Technology [4] during 1926–1930 (and the additional index in 1933). In 1932, the American Chemical Society (ACS) monograph No. 60 The Free Energy of Some Organic Compounds [5] appeared. Rate Constant Calculation for Thermal Reactions: Methods and Applications, Edited by Herbert DaCosta and Maohong Fan. Ó 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Published 2012 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 3 4 OVERVIEW OF THERMOCHEMISTRY AND ITS APPLICATION TO REACTION KINETICS In 1936 was published The Thermochemistry of the Chemical Substances [6] where the authors Bichowsky and Rossini attempted to standardize the available data and published them at a common temperature of 18C (291K) and pressure of 1 atm.

The library’s objects provide customizable and flexible building modeling blocks that you can easily use to increase both the speed and accuracy of • Increases productivity and your assembly modeling. improves the efficiency of your plant design and optimization activities • Enables you to evaluate more plant design scenarios and assess more complex alternatives • Provides objects that are both easy to learn and use, as well as flexibly adaptable when new or unforeseen tasks arise Plant Simulation 3D assembly visualization includest manual operations, shift models, lot sizing, setup strategy and different worker logic to handle product failures (rework), machine breakdowns and priority products (fast runner). The Plant Simulation Assembly Library enables you to create well-structured, hierarchical models of a facility’s assembly lines and assembly systems. You can use these models to simulate, animate and evaluate both basic and complex assembly processes. PAVING THE WAY FOR EXHAUSTIVE AND SEAMLESS BIM- BASED BUILDING ENERGY SIMULATION Sylvain Robert, senior researcher, [email protected] CEA LIST, Information, signal and sensors departement, Gif-sur-Yvette, France Bruno Hilaire, senior researcher, [email protected] Paul Sette, senior researcher, [email protected] Souheil Soubra, head of division, [email protected] Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment (CSTB), Mod-Eve division, Sophia-Antipolis, France ABSTRACT This paper presents an on-going work, which aims at improving the support for BIM-based energy simulation. The contribution is twofold. Firstly, a discussion about BIM-based energy simulation is provided, with an in-depth review of the state-of-the-art and a synthetic highlighting of the main related research issues, i.e. provision of an extensive IFC toolkit to perform the various translations and to make the link with BIM-based collaborative work support; validation of IFC models (completeness and correctness) and translation into the data formats used by the simulation tools; enrichment of IFC to enable exhaustive description of building elements and HVAC systems; user interfaces and usability. Then, the paper focuses on the issue of HVAC systems BIM descriptions and gives the result of a study performed on the capabilities of the IFC in this matter. This study entailed reviewing the properties and parameters needed to describe HVAC systems in a representative selection of simulation environments, and proposing ways to describe accordingly the systems in IFC (relying on proper enrichment of native IFC constructs). From these two contributions, the paper draws conclusions about the limitations of current support, and about the directions to take to fully enable BIM-based energy simulations.
