2 OVERVIEW OF CURRENT OPERATIONS OF DRY PORTS AND PLANS FOR THEIR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT POLICY MEASURES, LEGISLATION AND SOLUTIONS TO SUPPORT DRY PORT DEVELOPMENT
By Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 23, 2015 No. 1043, a decision was made to join the Intergovernmental Agreement on Dry Ports.
On April 8, 2016, by decision of the Depository, Kazakhstan became the ninth participant (Bangladesh, China, India, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Thailand and Vietnam) of this Agreement, which entered into force on April 23, 2016.
In accordance with Article 15-2 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Transport in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, Standard Requirements for the Arrangement and Technical Equipment of Transport and Logistics Centers were adopted (Order No. 650 of May 28, 2015). Transport and Logistic Center

According to the Entrepreneurial Code Dry Ports can be implemented as investment priority projects with the provision of: - full-time grants; - exemption from customs duties and value added tax on imports; - government full-time grants; - preferences for taxes; -investment subsidy in special economic and industrial zones
* - Currently, existing, under construction and planned dry ports on the basis of GPP are absent
