Transport Information for Year 7 Transition Days

Students Eligible for Free Travel

Students who would usually be eligible for free travel (living in /Winterley or Smallwood//Brereton) will be able to travel on the special school buses which are provided under contract to the local authority. Students should use the stop nearest their home and, providing they travel on one of the buses below, will not have to pay for transport on induction days. However, please note that owing to limited capacity on the N80820 service, travel for Year 6 students is by individual negotiation with East Council.

Cheshire East Council will confirm your daughter’s entitlement to a contract ticket in time for the start of the new academic year and the allocated route for travel. Please note that, whilst the above services are contracted to Cheshire East Council, the X38/MIK837 (Mikro Coaches) and STAN16 (Stanways Coaches) are commercial services with a proportion of seats reserved by Cheshire East Council for current pass holders only. Any Year 6 students wishing to use the X38/MIK837 and STAN16 (overleaf) on the transition days will be required to pay for the cost of travel.

Please note: It is expected that the services under contract to Cheshire East will be put out to tender during summer 2017 and as a result may be subject to change with effect from September 2017.

Students Who Are Not Eligible for Free Travel

Any Year 6 students wishing to use the services below/overleaf will be required to pay for the cost of travel on the transition days.

Travel on these services for Year 6 students on either of the induction days needs to be by prior agreement with Gerrards to ensure there are sufficient spaces. Pickup/drop off points are by private arrangement with Gerrards at reasonable points along the route.
