Braselton, Georgia (October 1, 2016)...The No. 62 Risi Competizione 6100 Southwest Freeway GTLM of drivers Giancarlo Fisichella, Toni Vilander and are Houston, Texas USA 77057 th Tel: +1 713 772 3868 comfortable with today’s race pace as they pass the halfway point of the 19 www.risicompetizione.com annual Petit Le Mans at in North Georgia.

The Petit Le Mans Presented by Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort race started at 11:10 a.m. EDT this morning under sunny skies and warm temperatures. Qualifying and starting driver Vilander was gridded in the third position in the GT Le Mans (GTLM) class, which was 19th overall in the 38-car field for the 2016

IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship finale.

By the first pit stop on Lap 38, Vilander had elevated himself to second place when he turned the Rosso Corsa (racing red) Ferrari over to former ace Fisichella. Two laps later Fisichella was leading the class, which he managed through his entire stint and through a full course caution session. On Lap 102 at approximately three hours and 20 minutes into the 10-hour race, he passed the car to Brit James Calado, who was making his first driving appearance with Risi and only his second race in the IMSA WeatherTech Series.

Calado drove a strong stint, despite a third full course caution and maintained the class lead in GTLM. He relinquished driving duties back to Vilander, who dealt with a couple of full course cautions for track repair issues when repairs were needed to the track surface at Turn 3.

At the halfway point the race was still under caution while repairs were being completed and the Houston, Texas-based Risi Ferrari was leading the GTLM class and 10th overall with five hours to go.

Toni Vilander, driver, No. 62 Ferrari 488 GTLM (after first stint): “My first stint is done. I felt a little touch on the rear somewhere. There was a lot of traffic so we lost a lot of time with the traffic. It’s part of the game, but it’s frustrating when you’re in the car and you see the guy in front of you pulling away. Two laps to the end I managed to pull away from the Corvette into to Turn One and then I heard after the pit stop we are leading. It’s a good sign, but unfortunately, it means nothing since there’s a long way to go. The car is pretty good. We are trying different things during the day time and it’s all about the last two hours in the end.”

Giancarlo Fisichella, driver, No. 62 Ferrari 488 GTL (after first stint): “So far we are all good. The car is consistent and the balance is good. There is a lot of traffic. There are still several hours to go, but we are in good shape…let’s go to the end of the race.”

James Calado, driver, No. 62 Ferrari 488 GTLM (after first stint):: Race Public Relations “I was a little bit nervous to start with. It was my first stint, you know, with all the Barbara J. Burns full course yellows and stuff. It’s all a bit alien. But, as soon as I got into a rhythm BurnsGroup PR [email protected] the speed was good. I managed traffic well. I think we pulled a gap on the Ford Tel: +1 770 329 7134 with the full yellow. So now that’s out of the way and I’m a bit more confident so we’ll see what happens. Obviously, there’s a long way to go. We’re just preserving Russell Adams [email protected] the car as much as we can and fingers crossed it lasts.”
