. Bulletins – Bulletins are the newsletters that go to members and selected members of the public. Each Bulletin usually contains a message from the President and information about previous and upcoming events. During the course of the year bulletins contain information about the finance drive, contributors, membership recruitment, new members, Candidate events for fall and school board elections, Voter registration, LWVNY or LWVUS Conventions (alternate years), public membership meetings, studies and advocacy, and required notices for the Annual Meeting (nominating report, proposed budget, proposed Program).

. Bulletins from The League of Women Voters of the Saratoga Springs Area (The predecessor of the League of Women Voters of Saratoga County). These bulletins were originally mimeographed on 8 ½ X 11” sheets, stapled together, on very poor quality paper. The first ones were mailed (first class) with 4-cent stamps. Almost all include a Calendar of Events. Beginning with the May/June 1977 issue, and until May 1979, the back page of the bulletin carries business card ads from local business supporters. Beginning with the September 1979 issue and through December of 1985 the bulletin was printed on 8 ½ X 11 sheets, folded in half to make a 5 ½ X 8 ½ booklet. The business card ads moved to the middle page in this format. They were discontinued with the September 1980 issue.

Bulletins are the newsletters that go to members and selected members of the public. Each Bulletin usually contains a message from the President and information about previous and upcoming events. During the course of the year bulletins contain information about the finance drive, contributors, membership recruitment, new members, Candidate events for fall and school board elections, Voter registration, LWVNY or LWVUS Conventions (alternate years), public membership meetings, studies and advocacy, and required notices for the Annual Meeting (nominating report, proposed budget, proposed Program). Note: Bulletins were indexed by year (not issue) in Box 2, so it isn’t clear which issues are missing.
