A healthy society in turn, needs healthy and literate individuals. In order to make literacy worthwhile, it must be functional. Functional literacy signifies the ability of a person to discharge his economic, social and civic duties in an efficient manner. The word 'Literacy' means an ability to read and write. The level of development becomes higher if the population of the country is educated and firstly literate. Education permits a higher degree of social mobility the ability to achieve a higher social level. This paper is an effort to analyze the position of literacy in 11 tehsils of Udaipur district at social level, gender level with the statistical techniques based on census data of 2011. The purpose of the paper is to find out what are the causes of social and gender disparity in literacy regarding the 11 tehsils of Udaipur district and the attempts that can be inculcated to make the females of the district and the social groups more literate. Saksham which means "Capable" or “Self- reliant” in Sanskrit is a TISS project that implements counselling services for Drug Resistant (DR) TB patients in collaboration with the Mumbai District Tuberculosis (TB) Control Society (MDTCS). The programme supported by the Global Fund for AIDS, TB and Malaria was initiated in August 2014. Terms of Reference for the position of Counselors, Saksham 1. Register Drug Resistant (DR) TB patients for counselling services and provide regular counselling to ensure treatment adherence. 2. Undertake home visits to DR TB patients within the district for providing follow up counselling 3. Provide counseling services to family members of the DR TB patients and refer them for TB diagnosis if required 4. Liaise with District TB staff to monitor treatment adherence of TB patient at community level 5. Improve TB-HIV linkages and link with ART centers. 6. Link DR TB patients to social protection schemes and other health services as required 7. Ensure timely documentation & reporting as per program need. 8. Maintain registers and records as per Saksham, TISS guidelines 9. Attend quarterly meetings as specified by Saksham, TISS Qualifications: Post graduate in Social Work (Health & Mental Health or Public Health or Community Organization)/ M.A. (Counselling or Clinical Psychology)/ Master in Public Health/ Master in Health Administration. Essential skills and other requirements: A minimum of 1 to 3 years of work experience in health related counselling. E.g., HIV/AIDS, RCH, TB, STI, ART, suicide prevention.

It prefers roost on tall trees. We conducted the this study from November, 2007 to February, 2009 to assess the roost site selection of P. giganteus in Girwa tehsil of Udaipur district, Rajasthan, India. Road surveys were performed to identify the roosting sites. After identification of roosting sites, name of the sites, number of bats and other characteristics were noted. During the study, a total of 14 roosting sites were identified where bats were rooted on trees. Trees were belonged to eight species and five families. Presence of high tree densities and numerous waterbodies in the tehsil might be a reason for a sound number of the species.
