Peterborough Rural crime and information update – 1st to 31th January 2017

Sorry this report has arrived later than usual but I’ve been out of Force for 2 weeks on a Crime Prevention Course in Leeds. I only returned to the office on Monday 6th Feb.

Please find enclosed reported crime and incidents of note during the month of January 2017. This report is intended to inform Parish Councils and their communities of issues they should be aware of and will not include incidents such as domestic violenc e or personal assault for example.

Northborough Ward (crimes and incidents of note)

 Maxey, West End Rd – 14th Jan - Theft of Motor Vehicle – Vehicle stolen during daylight hours from outside house.  Northborough, Nine Bridges A15 – 7th Jan – Arson– Unknown offender deliberate ignition of a Caravan.  Northborough, Castle Drive– 25th to 26st Jan – Theft – Number plate stolen from car.

Glinton and Wittering Ward (crimes and incidents of note)

 Ailsworth, Helpston Rd – 8th Jan – Theft from Motor Vehicle – Whilst walking dog car has been broken into and Sat Nav stolen.  Ailsworth, Helpston Rd – 8th Jan – Theft from Motor Vehicle – Whilst walking, car has been broken into and Sat Nav and Ray Ban sunglasses stolen.  Ailsworth, Main St – 9th Jan – Criminal Damage.  Ailsworth, Main St – 6th – 9th Jan –Theft from Motor Vehicle – unknown offender has stolen mobile phones from car.  Ailsworth, Station Road – 14th Jan – Theft from Motor Vehicle – unknown offender has stolen handbag from car.  Ailsworth, Station Road – 14th Jan – Theft from Motor Vehicle – unknown offender has stolen power tools from vehicle.  Ailsworth, Station Road – 23rd Jan – Theft from Motor Vehicle – unknown offender has stolen a bag from vehicle.  Castor, Peterborough Rd – 14th Jan - Theft from Motor Vehicle – unknown offender has stolen handbag and purse from car.  Castor, Loves Hill – 13th Jan - Theft from Motor Vehicle – unknown offender has stolen various items of property from car.  Castor, Loves Hill – 13th Jan - Theft from Motor Vehicle – unknown offender has stolen various items of property from car.  Wittering, A1 – 24th - 25th Jan – Theft of Motor Vehicle – Veh parked overnight alongside of A1 has been stolen.  Wansford, Yarwell Rd – 23rd Jan – Criminal Damage – Car window smashed by unknown person and rummaged through vehicle – Nothing appears stolen.

Barnack Ward (crimes and incidents of note reported)

 Barnack, Stamford Rd – 22nd Jan – Theft from Motor Vehicle – Handbag and trainers stolen from vehicle.  Bainton, Station Rd – 25th Jan – Theft from Motor Vehicle – Van parked has had window smashed and various item stolen from within. Daytime offence.  Helpston, Heath Road – 21st Jan - Theft from Motor Vehicle – Window smashed, house keys stolen from inside vehicle.  Ufford, Main Street – 31 Dec – 1st Jan – Theft from Motor Vehicle – Laddered secured to roof of vehicle stolen by unknown persons.

Eye and Thorney Ward (crimes and incidents of note reported)

 Eye, Beaulieu Court - 1st Jan – Criminal Damage – windscreen of car shattered by unknown person whilst left at home.  Eye, Waltham Walk – 2nd Jan – Burglary (non dwelling) – Garden rotavator stolen from greenhouse during daylight hours.  Eye, High Street – 14th Jan – Burglary – Unknown offenders have entered rear of property by smashing back door window to gain entry. Nothing believed stolen.  Peterborough, Northey Rd – 3rd Jan – Theft of Motor Vehicle (TOMV) – keys were left in vehicle, but vehicle stolen during daylight hours.  Thorney, Station Road – 10th – 12th Jan – Burglary (non-dwelling) – Petrol strimmer and can of petrol stolen from Garage.  Thorney, Thorney Dyke – 14th – 17th Jan – Criminal Damage – Unknown offenders have driven a vehicle across fields, damaging crops planted.  Thorney, Scolding Drove – 18th Jan – Criminal Damage – unknown offenders have caused damage to victims gate whilst gaining access to commit Hare Coursing.  Thorney, Willow Hall Lane – 16th Jan – Criminal Damage – Occupants of a Suzuki Vitara Hare Coursing on Farmers land have caused damage to crops.  Thorney, French Drove – 27th Jan – Theft – 2000 Litres of Heating Oil stolen from tank at rear of property.

Newborough, Borough Fen and Eye Green Ward (crimes and incidents of note reported)

 Newborough, Reedmace Close– 4-5Th Jan – Burglary (Garage) – Overnight garage has been broken into, bikes, gold clubs and various power tools stolen.  Newborough, Crowland Rd – 9th – 10th Jan – Criminal Damage – Unknown offenders have driven over farm land causing damage to crops.  Newborough, Fernie Close – between 2-6 Jan – Criminal Damage – unknown persons have thrown stones over fence causing damage to wooden decking in rear Garden.  Newborough, School Road – 11 Jan – TFMV – Index plates stolen off rear of Audi Q5.  Newborough, Guntons Road – 28 Jan – Theft of MV – Yellow Dumper Truck stolen by unknown persons.  Crowland, Peterborough Rd – 12 Jan – Theft of MV – Camouflaged 4x4 stolen from Farm.  Eye, Crowland Rd – 11-12 Jan - Burglary – Property being renovated. Dumper truck and trailer stolen.  Eye, Crowland Rd – 19-20 Jan – Theft – 8 month German Shepherd Dog stolen from location overnight.  Milking Nook, Werrington Bridge Road – 21-22 Jan – Burglary (Shed) – Farm equipment stolen.  Eye Green, Verde Close – 1-21 Jan – Theft – Theft of mail from communal area.
