Systems Included This represents the number of collaboration systems available to be used with CAM.

Unified Project Directory The project/matter unified directory is a data map. It tracks the location of content related to each matter, project, engagement - whatever you may call it - across all supported systems. Organizations can configure the metadata that is tracked with each matter or project.

Master Metadata Management Master Metadata Management enables organizations to align rich, custom metadata across collaboration systems for quick understanding of context. This empowers CAM to provision the same values across multiple systems. Master Metadata Management enables mapping of metadata into CAM’s data warehouse.

Matter/ Project / Engagement / Workspace Provisioning & Management Provisioning enables creating and updating an object standing for a project / matter/ engagement (e.g., workspace, site, Team, shared drive, folder, Channel, etc.), in a collaboration system with pre-defined templates representing a folder or a channel structure. The creation and update process can be driven from Practice Management, Time & Billing, CRM, ERP, Human Capital Management, etc., and a workflow form when there is no system of record. Users can also leverage it to create additional folders from a pre-defined list with support for standardized naming conventions with prefix, suffix, or custom names.

Access Management CAM enables user and group management in collaboration systems for both, internal and external users. Active Directory or Human Capital Management systems can be leveraged as systems of records to keep properties and group memberships in sync across systems. CAM also supports automatic ethical wall application through integration with common ethical wall systems.

Data Protection Data protection in CAM enables users to perform a profile search and download documents in case of outage. Access to end users is provided through a one-time password (OTP). Organizations have the option to store documents in their own private AWS or Azure instance for enhanced security. Only the metadata and security information is stored in CAM with no access to documents or other data important to the client.

Analytics - Metadata Security & Activity Monitoring - Queries & Dashboards Administrators can leverage CAM’s data warehouse to report on matter and document metadata and audit records through SQL queries. Typical reports are provided for privacy, external user access, inappropriate activity, and user adoption. Leveraging variables, administrators can create standard queries for risk and records management teams. The same queries can be leveraged to create dashboards with configurable charts and graphs. Reports can also be scheduled to be sent via email.

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) / Bulk Update of Metadata & Security Assigned administrators can perform bulk updates to security, metadata, and more, across tens of thousands of workspaces, folders, and documents. All bulk operations are audited.

In appropriate systems (e.g., iManage, NetDocuments, etc.), a unique group is created for each project/matter, eliminating the need for refiling documents to grant access.

Distributed Administration Across Supported Systems - Service Desk CAM offers a common layer of administration for a variety of actions across workspaces, folders, and documents. The right to perform each command, and what columns & fields are available to a user for searching, are granularly controlled.

Export CAM enables bulk export of workspaces, folders, and documents through a zip file or a configured network path. Long filenames and path limitations are automatically handled.

Movement of Projects / Matters / Documents Within & Between Systems - Content Mover Workspaces, folders, and documents can be seamlessly moved within and between systems, repositories, or databases. Support for copy, one-way, and two-way sync between collaboration systems.

Data Minimization / Disposition Policies Minimize unnecessary data by setting trigger-based disposition policies with approval workflows. The start of a policy can be schedulded from project/matter opening or closing. A policy can contain multiple actions, such as move, delete, declare record, change security, anonymize data, and more.

Litigation Hold CAM streamlines the identification of relevant information for litigation holds by providing a directory to track them. It enables litigation hold notifications & acknowledgments for custodians. CAM allows for preservation and collection of holds in a separate repository. Once the hold is over, CAM resumes set data disposition policies.

Link Handler Assists with opening documents when document number, version or location information has changed as a result of moving to the cloud, consolidation, or archive.
