BCSPL CONTACTS ............................................................................................................................................ 11 2 General League Regulations The following general league regulations are subject to change at the determination of the BC Soccer Premier League (“BCSPL” or “league”). General league regulations in effect shall be as posted on the BCSPL website. 1. LEAGUE PARTICIPATION AND REVIEW PROCESS All participating clubs in the BCSPL are expected to comply with all BCSPL rules and regulations within this document along with upholding the rules, regulations and policies of BC Soccer. At the end of each season, the BCSPL General Manager will produce a BCSPL Rules Compliance Report which will be provided to the BC Soccer Board of Directors. This report will highlight any regular failings in compliance which will be used at the discretion of the BC Soccer Board of Directors per Rule 22.f. (participation in the BCSPL). If a club is removed from the participation within the BCSPL, Canada Soccer has confirmed the club will also have their Canada Soccer National Youth Club License designation removed. 2. FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS a) League Administrative Fee The league provides many services which include but are not limited to administrative, internet and website support, player registration with BC Soccer, game and referee scheduling, hosting of league meetings, marketing, public relations, and sponsorship support. i. The league fee for 2021 is $1458 per team per calendar year ii. For new teams entering the BCSPL in 2021 phase 2, the league fee for 2021 is $729 per team iii. The original 8 franchises are required to fulfill teams in each age group, as are new expansion clubs required to place teams in their accepted age groups. Failure to do so will result in a league fine. b) Fines Fines will be assessed for violations of league rules and not meeting minimum standard requirements. Applicable fines are stated in section 9 and will be subject to change as and when determined by the league. c) League Fee Payment Schedule Each season, the league administrative fee for each club will be distributed by January 31. Each year this fee is based on the BCSPL approved budget. 3. LEAGUE STRUCTURE a) Governance BC Soccer

    A MESSAGE FROM STEVEN REED, PRESIDENT During my tenure as President, I have had the privilege to continue the momentum established this past decade to ensure that the foundation for Canada Soccer Nation would be further strengthened. Although this Annual Report reflects on the year of 2019, it is that solid footing that has guided us through an unprecedented time in not only our sport but our world. When I reflect on what I will remember most fondly about my three years as President of Canada Soccer, it all comes down to one thing: the people. It is the people within the Canadian soccer community who have banded together to ensure that our players, coaches, officials, volunteers, fans and their families are safe and will return to the pitch and the sidelines when they are secure. It’s about the team this organization has assembled over the last 10 years who, collectively, have brought us to where we are today – the proud co-hosts, with Mexico and the United States, of the 2026 FIFA World Cup™. We are a country to which other FIFA nations now see as a leader in the soccer world. It’s about Peter Montopoli, who as General Secretary brought necessary professionalism to the organization that laid the foundation for all the successes that followed. It’s about my predecessor and now Concacaf President, Victor Montagliani, who believed in—and advanced—our dream of hosting a men’s FIFA World Cup™ on Canadian soil for the first time. It’s about John Herdman, who revamped the women’s program, taking our Women’s National Team to back-to-back bronze medals at the Olympic Games and a place among the top countries in the world.

All interested players should contact the member club technical director to gain further information on the recognized process for the club. If required and to assist the coaching staff of the age groups within the BC Soccer Premier League and player selections, evaluation events may be held throughout the season to assess the player's capabilities and potential selection for the following year's team.     Canadian Sport Institute and BC SOCCER Athlete and Coach Nomination Criteria Criteria Approved September 2018: CSI Pacific Representative Signature BC SOCCER Chris Cerroni Representative Signature CANADIAN SPORT INSTITUTE / PACIFICSPORT / BC SOCCER ATHLETE AND COACH NOMINATION PURPOSE The Canadian Sport Institute, through a partnership with the Province of BC and ViaSport, the network of Pacific Sport Centres, and BC SOCCER collaborates to deliver programs and services to place BC Athletes1 on National Teams, and ensure athletes and coaches have every advantage to win medals for Canada. The partners work jointly to encourage sport excellence and increase podium performances in communities throughout British Columbia. Canadian Sport Institute / Pacific Sport athlete and coach support for the Canadian Development and Provincial Development nomination focuses on athletes and teams 5-12 years from the Podium, identified by the sport specific Podium Pathway (see Figure 1 below) and Gold Medal Profile. These athletes and teams represent both the next generation (5-8 years from Podium) and future generations (9-12 years from Podium) of Olympic and Paralympic (or World Championship) medalists. Support may be focussed more toward the future generation (9-12 years from Podium) for some targeted Paralympic sports depending on the quality of the next generation (5-8 years from Podium) of athletes and teams. Both fan cultures are prominent during each Toronto FC home game, but they also have a large online presence which enables fans to connect to one another regardless of their location. This virtual presence highlights the value of online applications and the power of fandom. Thematic discourse analysis was used in order to analyze the information collected through observations at Toronto FC home games and on both fan cultures’ official Twitter accounts, websites, and online forums. Through this analysis, the themes of hierarchy and Toronto FC related material became prominent. Since this MRP focuses solely on two fan cultures, The Red Patch Boys and U-Sector, it must be noted that these results may not be applicable to all fan communities.
