Thank you Cathy for quietly building a friendship with the ladies and supporting Barbara. Barbara Szczurko has been the Treasurer and one of the craft leaders for many many years. She has carried out this role faithfully with love and respect for all. Sadly Barbara will retire from being the Treasurer and leader but will still come to Craft as a participant. I am grateful for the dedication and leadership that Barbara has exhibited over many years – thank you. Thank you also goes to Margaret Mordaunt & Kaye Harrison who have been on the Craft Committee and worked faithfully behind the scenes to ensure Craft went well. Thank you also to Aileen and the ladies who assisted in the kitchen and to the many who brought food at different times. Thank you also to those who shared their skills in teaching and/ or helping others do a variety of new crafts. The Craft Group gave $250 to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Hospital during the year which was a great effort. Thank you. We acknowledge with sadness the passing during the year of Joyce Tattum and Mieke Houdyk who were long time members of the craft Group. Joyce was the leader of the group for many years. The Craft Group is now 26 years young. It is a joy to watch the laughter, the chatting, the craft masterpieces that are created and the friendships grow. Many in the group are in the 90’s and are an inspiration to the younger members of the group with their positive attitude. Recruitment of new members will continue to be an issue. I hope that the Craft Group will continue for many years to come.
