Dear Madam, RE: UGANDA HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION 17th ANNUAL REPORT TO PARLIAMENT The Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC) has the pleasure and honour to present to Parliament its 17th Annual Report in accordance with Article 52 (2) of the 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Uganda. The report is divided into two sections namely; the activities carried out by the UHRC (Chapters 1-4) and the state of human rights in the country (Chapters 5- 9). The former part highlights the activities of the UHRC in the year 2014, such as complaints management, inspection of places of detention and human rights education and the latter covers UHRC’s analysis of the state of human rights in the country in 2014.
