THE EXCITEMENT OF TECHNOFEST 2019 BEGINS

Countdown has started for Aviation, Space and Technology Festival which is the second biggest aviation event in the world. More than 550,000 visitors attended the festival, which was held for the first time last year. This year, 1 million visitors are expected.

TEKNOFEST, aims to turn into a society that produces the technology. TEKNOFEST held under the leadership of Turkey Technology Team Foundation and Industry and Technology Ministry, from 17 to 22 September 2019 Date will be held at the Ataturk Airport.

Technology competitions organized in 19 different categories within the festival, World Drone Cup, Take Off International Venture Summit, Hackİstanbul 2019, Solo Turk and Turkish Stars breathtaking air shows, Vertical Wind Tunnel, Planetarium, Aviation Shows, Workshops, Gendarmerie Safety Special Show, Atak Helicopter and there will be shows, exhibitions, concerts, and very special surprise events.

TEKNOFEST, which will be held at Atatürk Airport this year, received 50 thousand applications from 17,373 teams from 81 provinces and 122 countries. 10 thousand finalists were identified in technology competitions organized in 19 different categories.

Flying Car, Driverless Vehicle, Rocket Competitions...

Creating awareness of science and technology, aiming to increase Turkey's science and fields TEKNOFEST trained human resources, technology organizes competitions in 19 different categories to support young people working on future technologies.

This year, unlike last year, FLYING CAR DESIGN COMPETITION, MINI JET RADIAL COMPRESSOR DESIGN COMPETITION, TURBO FAN MOTOR DESIGN COMPETITION, ROBOTIC COMPETITIONS, ISTANBUL INTERNATIONAL DISCUSSION FAIR, TUBITAK UNIVERSITY STUDENTS RESEARCH PROJECT COMPETITIONS will be held. In addition, a congress of Turkish scientists living abroad will be held within the scope of the festival.

Rocket Competition was held in Tuz Lake on 4-10 September, Warring UAV Competition was held on September 10-14 in Yenikapı, Efficiency Challenge Robo Taxi Competition was held on September 14-19 in Kocaeli, Race Track and Model Satellite Competition was held in Ankara on September 9-12.

Flying Car Design Competition, Smart Spaces Hackathon Competition, Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition, Robotic Conquest 1453 Competition, Artificial Intelligence Competition, Mini Jet Radial Compressor Design Competition, Herd UAV Competition, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Competition, Technology Competition for Humanity, Turbo Fan, Robot Fan Competition, Turbo Fan Motor Design Competition, HackIstanbul, Travel Hackathon, World Drone Cup and Take Off Competitions will be held on 17-22 September at Istanbul Atatürk Airport.

10000 contestants from 50000 young people from middle school, high school, university teams and professionals are participating in the competitions to develop the technology products of the future. A total of more than 2 million TL will be awarded to the winners.

Rocket shootout in Tuz lake

The Rocket Competition, organized with the support of ROKETSAN, is held on 4-10 September 2019 in Tuz Gölü. High school, undergraduate and graduate students participate in this competition. This competition is organized in two different categories, low and high altitude, in order to increase students' interest in space technologies and improve their abilities.

Solo Turk and Turkish Stars will perform Breathtaking Shows

Solo Turk, Turkish Stars and foreign show groups will perform aviation shows throughout the festival. In addition, a large number of private aircraft of different sizes and tasks will be exhibited in the festival area. Visitors will be able to try the wind tunnel and planetarium and special technological products and services at the booths of technology companies in the festival area.

Take-Off International Venture Summit will be held on 16-19 September

Take-Off International Venture Summit, which is an important international summit for Turkey's goal of becoming a regional center for technology initiatives, bringing together Turkish entrepreneurs and investors with international technology investors. Seven categories of technology presentations will be evaluated and rewarded at the summit, which aims to develop Istanbul as a center of attraction for technology initiatives in Eastern Europe, Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. At the summit of the initiative, Applications in the fields of environmental and Energy Technologies, Health and Sports Technologies, Food and Agriculture Technologies, Educational Technologies, Space Technologies, Financial Technologies, Logistics and Smart City Technologies are being evaluated. Take-Off 2019, Turkey Technology Team Foundation, Ministry of Industry and Technology and by the Office of the Presidential Investment will be held between 16-19 September at the Ataturk Airport.

World Drone Cup Competition

A total of 64 competitors from 32 countries will participate in the World Drone Cup. The fastest and best drone in the world will be determined in Istanbul. The pilots will compete with the drones that they design and assemble. The World Drone trophy, which will include vehicles designed with high speed and maneuverability, which is designed entirely based on the user's control capability, will be attended by 64 contestant from 32 countries including China, Japan, Brazil and USA.

Hackİstanbul 2019

Turkey will host the world with Hackİstanbul 2019 an extraordinary competition. The Hackİstanbul 2019 CTF (Capture the Flag) competition will bring together thousands of hackers from hundreds of countries around the world to demonstrate their skills.
