For the sixth consecutive year, the CFL will host a trio of regional combines ahead of the CFL Combine. Following the Eastern Regional Combine in Montreal, Toronto will host the Ontario Regional Combine on March 9 and Winnipeg will host the Western Regional Combine on March 22. The CFL, with input from all teams, will then invite additional players from the regional combines to the national event in Winnipeg depending on player performance. Each regional combine will invite approximately 40 to 50 players. The CFL Combine presented by adidas will take place in Winnipeg as part of the Mark’s CFL Week festivities where top prospects will compete in front of CFL coaches, general managers and player personnel on March 24-25. Last year, 15 players from regional combines were extended an invitation to the CFL Combine, including 11 of those players being selected in the 2017 CFL Draft. The top players eligible for the upcoming 2018 CFL Draft, as ranked collectively by the teams and the league office, are invited to attend the CFL Combine presented by adidas. About the CFL Combine The CFL Combine presented by adidas will take place at the RBC Convention Centre and at the University of Winnipeg in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The players will undergo medical examinations, performance, strength and speed tests, on-field football drills and team interviews over the three-day combine in front of general managers, coaches and scouts from all teams. Media is not permitted in the rooms for medical testing, measurements, flexibility and body fat percentage that day. • On Saturday and Sunday, all player interviews will take place following the completion of the prospects’ testing and evaluation drills. • Media members covering the events are asked to do so in the designated media areas. • Only CFL production and football operation cameras will be permitted on the field. No additional cameras will have access to the field to protect the safety of the players and the live broadcast. Camera operators without the appropriate accreditation will be asked to leave the field and move to a designated media area. • Only accredited photographers & videographers with CFL bibs are permitted on field. Media Footage Acquisition: • Media can access a clean feed of a highlight pack of the CFL’s Combine broadcast (which will include top performers of the 40-Yard Dash, Bench Press and B-roll of player individuals drills and 1-on-1s). Usage, for editorial purposes only, will be limited to 30 seconds (cumulative total) at no cost. Footage cannot be sold.
