Bryozoa (23 species ) from many boreholes in the Belarussian part of the Podlasie-Brest Depres sion and some adja cent areas of the East Eu ro pean Plat form are de scribed. Only bryozoa from the orders Cystoporida (suborder Ceramoporina) and Trepostomida (suborders Esthonioporina, Amplexoporina and Halloporina) are repre sented. Four spe cies and one family are described as new. The gen era Anolotichiina Pushkin, 1992 and Minutolunaria Pushkin, 1992 are redescribed. The spe cies de scribed occur in the Llanvirn (Azeri-Kukruse Regional stages) and Caradoc (Idavere-Oandu Regional stages). The results sup port the hypoth e sis that the study area rep re sented an in de pend ent biogeographical re gion of the Bal tic prov ince, cor re spond ing to the Brest-Volyn confacies during the Llanvirn and Caradoc.

These are merous endem ic (“Podlasie-Bre st”) el em ents. Thus, of 23 spe- rel a tively shal low-wa ter de pos its: mas sive lime stones with thin cies of bryozoa descri bed, 6 specie s are estab li shed only in the in ter calated marl layers. The rocks con tain (es pe cially in the Podlasie-Brest De pres sion: Acanthoceramoporella brestica sp. upper part of the succes sion) num erous skel etal rem ains of in- nov., Anolotichiina tabulatiformis (Pushkin), Minutolunaria ver te brates: cri noids, brachi o pods, bryo zoans, trilobites and illustris sp. nov. (also dis covered in Podolia), Amplexopora others. Bryozoa have been studied exten sive ly (Pushkin, 1973, angustiformis sp. nov., Atactopora gregariaformis sp. nov. and 1975, 1976, 1977a, b, 1981, 1987a, b, c; Pushkin and Hallopora mckinneyi sp. nov.
