Sep 10, Jason rated it really liked it Recommends it for: Those who like suspense and a lot of plot twist and turns. First off let me say that I am a James Patterson fan, but despite that fact this book was excellent. It is definitely a suspense thriller that will have you The Quickie the edge of your seat. I think what I like the most about it is the way in which the story is told from the begining of the novel. It is as if the introduction is laid before you piece by piece in such a unique format that it draws you in from the very begining. Definitely a great fun fiction book to read. I don't normally add my "Books on Tape" to my Good Reads account. This was absolutely the most ridiculous story I've ever listened to. The characters were completely unlikeable and made the worst choices. Guess OK Guess what - It didn't View all 21 The Quickie. Feb The Quickie, Tanya rated it it was amazing. Stop reading James Patterson! Did The Quickie like it. At all. It was The Quickie of the first Patterson books I ever read but I kept going because I thought there had to be something. The Murder House, to date, is the only The Quickie book I've The Quickie. This was a dark The Quickie piece of fiction that did not start off bad. It was a book club selection with a former book group of mine and at first I was pleased. But it just got awfully boring and the short chapters which he seems to do but I did not know that The Quickie irritated me. I finished it quickly but did not enjoy it. I just felt this could have been any mass marketed paperback mystery. There was nothing that pulled me in and as short as the chapters were they dragged. Sep 25, Lana rated it did not like it. If I could give -stars, I would. This is, by far, the most irritating book I've ever read. The prose reads like the convoluted script for a very bad Lifetime movie, and there's not one likable character in the whole mess. The main character is a composite sketch of the worst stereotypes of women. She's a cop, but the worst crime in the world is cheating on her. She's tops in her career field, but what she values most is being a submissive wife and mother. I only hope that there was a very l The Quickie I could give -stars, I would. I The Quickie hope that there was a very lucrative deal behind James Patterson's slapping his The Quickie name on something The Quickie horrible. View 2 comments. More recently, I've been downloading books via the Overdrive Media app from my local digital library and since so many of his titles were available, I thought what the heck, I'll give it a try. I noticed as I perused Patterson's vast archive of books that the majority were co-authored with other writers. In this case, Michael Ledwidge. It is just me or is that strange? As IMDb celebrates its 30th birthday, we have six shows to The Quickie you ready for those pivotal The Quickie of your life Get some streaming picks. A crime soap opera about a Russian The Quickie retiring from "the business" on New Year's Eve, only to discover he has been targeted for death by a rival mobster. Once again I am a little confused by the websites 'plot outline' and many of the other comments. This film seemed to me to be very little about the relationship between mother and son only one important scene where the mob boss reproached his mother for being a drunk all his lifeand more about a great The Quickie of other things. Sibling rivalry, The Quickie decadence that accompanies a criminal life, how life and money ultimately become of little value, how love can surface in the most unlikely circumstance, etc etc. The 'hitman' who was exceptionally The Quickie at the job and the mob boss fell for the exterminator in spite of himself. The irony of his brother 'sussing' what someone was up to and being over-ridden was not lost on him. I thought it was a well made depiction of a dysfunctional family and its final disintegration. The storyline flowed, there was great attention to detail - a bug exterminator would be looking in The Quickie the rooms and a nervous mob member would get itchy about it - and though it wasn't a Hollywood glitz-flick I thought it The Quickie all the more authentic because of it. I really enjoyed it. Looking for something to watch? Choose an adventure below and discover your next favorite movie or TV The Quickie. Visit our What to Watch page. Sign In.
