It has also been awarded a Blue Flag for its cleanliness. The area is surrounded by National Trust land providing an excellent base for walking, with the giving access to the spectacular Baggy Point. Putsborough Beach lies within the North Devon Coast Area of W Outstanding Natural Beauty which is renowned for its dramatic coastal cliffs and landscape and is also part of the North Devon Voluntary Marine Conservation Area because of its diverse and rare species.
