Schooled at Yale University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1963, Ogden Mills Phipps assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Bessemer Trust--his family=s private bank and investment advisor established in 1907--in his mid-30s in 1976 and remained engaged in that role until 1994.
