The CRHC was host to a reception of former residents and their families following the official unveiling of the book on the campus of IU South Bend.

DIGITA "A Visual Journey" CRHC partnered with The LGBTQ Center to host a traveling exhibition CRHC.IR.440 L Exhibition; June to from the Indiana Historical Society entitled, "A Visual Journey: From AIDS July 2017 to Marriage Equality." The exhibition featured photographs from across the state taken by Mark A. Lee. In addition to its showing at the CRHC and The LGBTQ Center, the exhibition spent a day at the Pride Block Party on July 8, 2017 in downtown South Bend.

DIGITA Reflections on the Maasai are an ethnic group in Kenya who have become a cultural icon CRHC.IR.443 L Maasai; August 28, throughout the world. A representative of Maasai culture, Leonard 2017 Olekishoyan Kipainoi, was here to share stories of his people, their traditions, and their dances, as well as reflect on the place of cultures like his in our modern world. Joseph Karanja, a Kenyan and long-time member of the South Bend community, led the reflections and the discussion.

They then came to the CRHC to learn the local response, and then created collaborative art pieces. The date was originally scheduled for January 12, but a snow storm moved it to January 22 with the exhibition of their work opening on January 23.
