Anyway, once I had gotten over the facts about the medieval world I began to appreciate the book and its structure which on the whole made me quite fascinated and I found I was enjoying the subject. One of the things I love most about lots of fantasy writing is the basis it has in reality the science of the discworld for example and being able to compare the world created by Grrr Martin to the realities of medieval life would be fascinating! These rich unforgettable books have brought me weeks and months of enthralling distraction over the years and I also adore exploring anything Medieval or sitting back late at night with a good myth or legend. Seriously though, this book was well-timed in advance of the start of Season 6, and while it does contain liberal doses of 'spoilers' for the books, as well as the television series, if you haven't caught up by now, you really only have yourself to blame.
