REGISTER OF EMPLOYERS A Register of Concerns in which people are employed In accordance with Article 47 of the Fair Employment and Treatment (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 The Equality Commission for Northern Ireland Equality House 7-9 Shaftesbury Square Belfast BT2 7DP Tel: (02890) 500 600 E-mail: [email protected] August 2021 _______________________________________REGISTRATION The Register Under Article 47 of the Fair Employment and Treatment (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 the Commission has a duty to keep a Register of those concerns employing more than 10 people in Northern Ireland and to make the information contained in the Register available for inspection by members of the public. The Register is available for use by the public in the Commission’s office. Under the legislation, public authorities as specified by the Office of the First Minister and the Deputy First Minister are automatically treated as registered with the Commission. All other employers have a duty to register if they have more than 10 employees working 16 hours or more per week. Employers who meet the conditions for registration are given one month in which to apply for registration. This month begins from the end of the week in which the concern employed more than 10 employees in Northern Ireland. It is a criminal offence for such an employer not to apply for registration within this period. Persons who become employers in relation to a registered concern are also under a legal duty to apply to have their name and address entered on the Register within one month of becoming such an employer. -

DERRY CITY AND STRABANE DISTRICT COUNCIL LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN (LDP) 2032 EVIDENCE BASE EVB 16 COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE (Updated May 2017) This Document is one in a series, which builds up to form the ‘evidence base’ that informs the preparation of the Local Development Plan (LDP). It comprises initial Workshop Paper(s) on this Planning topic that were presented to Council Mem- bers during 2016 / 2017, which have been subject to Member discussion and input, before further discussion at the Planning Committee (LDP) and in turn feeding into the LDP Preferred Options Paper (POP) and then the Plan Strategy (PS) and eventually the Local Policies Plan (LPP) which together form the LDP. Therefore, the afore-mentioned evidence base will be continually updated, to additionally include the latest information, input from public engagement, statutory consultees, stakeholder groups, Sustainability Appraisal and from other Departments within the Council, including Community Plan- ning. The Evidence Base is published as a ‘supporting document’ in accordance with Article 10(a) and 15(a) of the Planning (LDP) Regulations (NI) 2015. Description of Proposed Development A new build community facility to include access and car-parking from Fairview Road. Single storey comprising 860m2 of floor space. 2. EIA Determination The proposed site area is 0.65ha and above the threshold of 0.5ha. An EIA Determination was carried out and concluded it is unlikely that this new build community facility will have a significant environmental impact. 3. Site and Surrounding Area The application site comprises an area of informal open space, located off Fairview Road, to the south of Ederowen Park, east of Knockalla Park and west of St. Joseph’s RC Church. The site is within the Settlement Development Limits of Derry. The surrounding Appendix 10 area is typically characterised by residential properties. There is also a shop, including a Post Office and pharmacy, to the south of the application site. -
