1 JUDICIAL FIRST CLASS MAGISTRATE COURT­I, . Organisation, function and duties. This Court is situated 300 meter away from Parappanangadi Railway Station. Four Police Station ie, Parappanangadi, , Tanur and are come under the jurisdiction of this Court apart from the Excise Circle Office, Tirurangadi and Excise Range Office, Parappanangadi. The Judicial 1st Class Magistrate adjudicated the criminal cases both warrant case and summary trial cases. Committal proceedings ( CP cases) cases are not triale by this court, hence committal to the Hon'ble District and Sessions Court, . 2. The Powers and duties of employees A. Section (Junior Superintendent) He is the Chief Ministerial Officer of this court, Junior Superintendent is the custodian of cash, cheques and valuable property articles. He is the custodian of Service Books of all staff. A1 Section preparation of all bills both contingent and paybills/ salary bill of Presiding Officer, all staffs and P.T.S. Registering and custodian of FIRs off all Police stations, and Excise coming under the jurisdiction of this court. Verifying and registering of Charge Sheet of Parappanangadi Police Station. A2 Section verifying and receiving Thondy articles and disposal of properties as per the order of Presiding Officer. Verifying and charge sheet of Tenhipalam P.S and Tanur P.S. and execution of bail bond in pending cases. A3 Section Custodian of all disposed cases, indexing and destruction of disposed cases. Committal of CP case, addressing Hon'ble Chief Judicial Magistrate, Manjeri for L.P. Sanction, charge sheet of Tirurangadi P.S. Return of document in both pending and disposed cases. B Section Attending routine work in bench section, posting and reposting of all cases, preparation of all statement related with pending cases. B1 Section (Process Section) Issuance of Non Bailable warrants, notices, summons as per the direction of Presiding Officer, registering petitions received in the court and numbering and registering all the petitions in both CMP and CF Register. C. Section (Confidential Assistant) Preparing any typing all Judicial Orders/Judgements as pronounced by the Presiding Officer of this Court. Submission of Calendar and judgement to the Hon'ble Chief Judicial Magistrate, manjeri and Hon'ble District and Sessions Judge, Manjeri, custodian of all law books and journal. C1 Section All typing work, issuance of certified copies, despatching all communication, and works related with form and registers and stationary articles. C2 Section Entering of case proceedings and data entries in Case Information Systems through Court Project.

The procedure followed in the decision making process including Channels of Supervision and accountability Files are initially put up by the clerk concerned with Submission and after verifying checking it by Junior Superintendent put up before the Presiding Officer for approval and orders. 4.The norms set by the Court for the discharge of its functions All orders and decision are taken by the Judicial 1st Class Magistrate, the presiding of the court. 5.The rules, regulations, instructions, Manuals and records held by it or under its control or used by its employees for discharging of its function. 1.
