Dear Mr Evans

Re : Planning Application 12/1085/PA: Erection a Wind Turbines measuring 34m to blade tip at The Paddock, Mathry, Haverfordwest, SA62 5LG

The Friends of Pembrokeshire National Park (FPNP) is an independent voluntary charity committed to help protect, conserve and enhance the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park for all to enjoy. Members care about issues such as local heritage, sustainable development, countryside access, renewable energy, the marine environment surrounding the Park, and the protection of its landscape, wildlife and fauna. As such we welcome the opportunity to comment on the above application.

While we accept that the application is outside of the National Park, The Friends is becoming increasingly concerned about the proliferation of such applications adjacent to or near the boundary of the National Park. When viewed from within the Park together with the other Wind Turbines located in the vicinity the Friends believe there would be an detrimental visual impact upon the surrounding landscape.

Pembrokeshire relies heavily upon the strength of its Tourism industry to support its local economy and destroying the vista from within the park risks destroying the very industry on which Pembrokeshire relies.

The Friends therefore urge you to take account of these views and reject this application to which we formally object.

Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely
