Last year was our 25th anniversary year and we decided to focus our fundraising for Tornado on the purchase of her tender – with considerable success! Tornado’s tender is currently owned by William Cook Cast Products, the company owned by Andrew Cook and the Trust’s Principal Sponsor. Andrew kindly offered to fund the construction of the tender in 2006, allowing funds being raised at the time to be spent on the engine. The tender is leased to the Trust under a fifteen year loan agreement which will come to an end in 2021.
