The Equalizer View is an interface toy that allows the user to find content they would not otherwise find browsing through linear categories. In the case of video, each piece of content is rated on a scale of 1- 10 in the following categories: Comedy, Romance, Action, Realism, Time Period. By adjusting these sliders the user is presented with unusual combinations of content to explore.
The user can further filter content by choosing categories of media type (Movies, Documentaries, etc) in the Filter Content area.

The Media Explorer view encourages users to explore available content and view related content without losing their orientation. Once the user has browsed to a piece of content, they may then branch off into related content. If the user knows they like an actor in a given movie, they may then branch off to view all the actor’s available content. A visual browser history below and collapsing menu system above give quick access to previously viewed items.
Filter Content User Selects branching content categories to filter choices. After selecting content item, user can branch off again based on the Media Detail film’s actors, directors, genre, year Displays media details. Video displays produced. synopsis. If the user knows they like an actor in a given movie, they may then branch off to view all the actor’s available content. This minimalist view allows fast browsing and filtering.

The Associative Map view gives users a graphical interface toy to find interesting content. Users zoom in to content bubbles and select content based on its mapping position. Once the user has browsed to a piece of content, they may then branch off into related content. If the user knows they like an actor in a given movie, they may then branch off to view all the actor’s available content.
Bubbles and Mapping Category bubbles are sized according to the amount of content included. In the chart to the left, “Action” has roughly twice as much available content as “Comedy”

The Station Listings View is for the user who doesn’t want to think and just want’s to see “what’s on.” This is essentially a playlist recommendation guide programmed by producers or eventually users. Although it is presented in a station listing format, there is no time associated with each piece of content. The user may watch anything at any time. Eventually users will get to know what stations they like and can check here for recommendations.
Simulated Station Listings Programming is listed in a program guide format. Stations are “programmed” by producers according to station style (comedy, history, mix, Music Videos, etc.) Eventually could have user programmed stations to share with others.
