Increase of cases clear - not clear if this is due to the increased testing capacity or if this 2nd wave is stronger than the 1st one Hotlines started in March in southern governorates - weekly data started to be shared last week Preparation of three more seroprevalence surveys targeting Hadramout, Abyan and governorates ongoing. Submission of the P3 Surveillance Seroprevalence study to a medical journal ongoing RDTs are still in Dubai - DP under approval for southern governorates: including triage at HF level, RRTs (ETA mid-April). There are also another batch of RDTs on the way to Yemen (ETA end of April, but stuck at the Suez canal). Pillar# Focus Update 29th March21 Strategy part finalized - under discussion with MoH (no RDTs recommended for travellers) P4 PoE Body scan requested for distribution for Sana’a airport – DP submitted – waiting. Trainings and brochures under preparation revision of LAB dashboard requested (including positivity rate) - ongoing sample collected in the south for Virus of Concern – not agreement yet in the north. Opened discussion with Oman for sequencing; waiting for final word of confirmation and samples will go by road. P5 Laboratory RTDs trainings will be integrated in the clinical training and in Pillar 9 triage training start to have concern on PCR test availability (delay on delivery from Portal) - evaluation ongoing on possible shortage and where strategy part finalized - discussed with MoH Aden – discussed with MoH Sana'a All HF assessment done for IPC-triage-flow. Hazard Allowance initiative update: Oct to Dec was paid in the South; Jan to March under revision for eligibility. October submitted for eligible staff to Unicef for payment in the North - Nov/Dec under revision. Jan to March lists submitted by MoH Sana'a. ToT training* will start be on 4 to 8th of April in Aden - followed by decentralized trainings on case management at HF level. Training plan also Case confirmed in the North, to be organise for April. P7 Management Oxygen refilling needs very high in all the operational facilities - difficult to cover the needs from the Suppliers - plans to support more Oxygen stations (it will take some months to increase the numbers) - Oxygen concentrators distributed in the southern governorates since last months of 2020; in the north under distribution. HC requested partner to support IU - no more feedback received beside MSF/ICRC (?) increase distribution rate since February, especially in the northern governorates. But still problematic lengthiness in procurement and of P8 OLS transport of items from Dubai to Yemen Distribution under validation for PPE for several HF (cancer, dialysis centres, MSP facilities; some more distribution done in TFC and SSN for protection of staff). Protection of P9 Pilot project expanded to 15 HF targeted in the southern governorates - under MoH approval EHS Full package of documents for Protection of Health essential services under finalization (MoH) before sharing possibly next week M&E framework for Pillar 9 under finalization, to monitor and document protection of EHS 360,000 Vaccines arrived in Aden on the 31st - MoH ceremony Registration of eligible ongoing, finalization of the budget, printing of guidance documents ongoing. Revision of the plan for health education and awareness, preparations for launching a media campaign on the vaccine and its importance and safety.
