NOTICE OF RACE 2020 Park City Sailing Fall Regatta September 12 – 13, 2020 Organizing Authority: Park City Sailing Association Jordanelle Reservoir, Park City, Utah

1. Rules 1.1. The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2017-2020 and this Notice Of Race (NOR), except as any of these are changed by the Sailing Instructions or any appendices to the Sailing Instructions. 1.2. Class rules shall apply for each division unless changed by this NOR or amended in the SI. 2. Eligible Classes 2.1. Lasers/ Radial 2.2. Club 420 2.3. 2.4. RS Tera 2.5. 2.6. J22 2.7. Open Keelboats (PHRF) 2.8. Open Catamarans (PHRF) 2.9. Open Dinghies (PHRF) 3. Inspection and Measurement 3.1. Sails and equipment may be measured prior to racing, and may also be spot checked at any time during the regatta. 4. Eligibility and Entry 4.1. A minimum of three entries are required to constitute a class. 4.2. Competitors may register eligible classes on-line at: www.SAILPC.org 5. Disclaimer of Liability 5.1. It is the competitor's decision to enter the regatta and to start or continue any race. The competitors are ultimately responsible for the risks. The competitor will accept full responsibility for all his/her actions during any activity related to the event. This includes on-shore activities before, during, and after the regatta. 5.2. All competitors and support persons must sign the SailPC Participation Waiver, this is available online at SAILPC.org/news/covid. 5.3. All competitors and support persons must conform to the SailPC COVID-19 mitigation guidelines, these will be detailed in an attachment to the Sailing Instructions.

6. Schedule of Events 6.1. 6.2. No warning signal will be made after 3:00 p.m. on the final day of the regatta. 6.3. The Race Committee may adjust the number of races each day to accommodate weather conditions. 7. Fees 7.1. Required Fees (checks should be made payable to: Park City Sailing Association) A $50 late fee charge will be made for registration after August 28th. Charters are available on a first come first serve basis at an additional cost. Class Fee Laser $70 (1 food truck ticket), $100 charter (limited #’s) Elliot 6m $210 racing (3 food truck tickets), $250 for charter + $500 deposit J22, Open Class Keel $210 (3 food truck tickets), Boats $150 for J22 charter 420, Open Dinghy, $100 racing (2 food truck Catamarans tickets) + $100 for 420 charter RS Tera $70 (1 food truck ticket) + $50 charter Optimist $70 (1 food truck ticket) + $40 charter 7.2. The entry fee includes food truck tickets on Saturday night for competitors. 8. Sailing Instructions 8.1. Preliminary sailing instructions will be available on the Park City Sailing Association web site on or about September 1, 2020. A final version will be available at on-site registration. 9. Courses & Racing Area 9.1. Courses will be determined by the Race Committee based on conditions but will be Windward - Leeward of an appropriate length unless otherwise specified. 9.2. Course alternatives will be described in detail in the Sailing Instructions. 9.3. The racing area will be on the Jordanelle Reservoir, South of the Personal Watercraft Ramp. 10. Scoring 10.1. The Low Point Scoring System, Appendix A, will be used. 10.2. Ten races are scheduled, and a minimum of one race must be completed to constitute a regatta. 10.3. Open classes will race on a handicapped PHRF system. All other divisions will be scored as one-design.

11. Additional Information 11.1. Accommodation; Jordanelle State Park has camping sites and cabins available to rent for the event (435- 649-9540). Closest hotels: Park City Peaks (435 649-5000); Sheraton Park City (435 649-2900); DoubleTree by Hilton (435 649-7000); The Prospector (435 658-3030) 11.2. Charters. Charters of Club 420, RS Tera and Optimist can be reserved on the sailpc.org website. Additionally charters of Lasers and Elliott 6m will be available on a limited basis through members of the fleet not participating in the racing and/or PCSA owned Lasers and Elliot 6m. Park Access: Standard park access fees are in effect during the regatta and are the responsibility of competitors to pay when entering the park. 11.4. Hospitality. Competitors and their guests are invited to use park facilities on race days. Refreshments will be included in race bags distributed at check in on Saturday. The Porteña Empanandas food truck will be hosting our socially distanced post racing meal on Saturday evening. Guests of competitors may purchase additional tickets for food. 11.5. Pets. The Jordanelle does welcome pets but they must be on leashes at all times. 11.6. Re-usable water bottles recommended. A water spigot is available for refills. 12. Prizes. 12.1. Prizes will be awarded to the top boats in each division as fleet sizes allow. 1st Place – 3 or more boats 2nd Place – 5 or more boats 3rd Place – 7 or more boats
