Spend a full day at the show, and the second day soaking up the rich garden heritage of Renishaw Hall and . I recently visited on my visit to the UK this year, thoroughly enjoyed my time there!

 Saturday: RHS Chatsworth Flower Show This flower show is bold and innovative, set in the stunning grounds of Chatsworth House, one of the UK’s most spectacular stately homes. A reconstruction of Joseph Paxton’s magnificent great conservatory will be the setting for the floral displays and plant sales, and show gardens will showcase cutting edge design in a new free-form category.

Chatsworth Flower Show – Carole Garnham – the Travel Brokers . Sunday: Renishaw Hall and Hardwick Hal Visit two of ’s renowned gardens, first to Renishaw home of the Sitwell family, with classical Italianate gardens, woodlands and park. In the afternoon it’s Hardwick Hall to discover the links to Chatsworth House via Bess of Hardwick. Uncover the stories of intrigue and Tudor power as we walk the long borders of colourful perennial plantings and into one of the largest herb gardens in Britain.

The Peveril of the Peak occupies a wonderful position in the village of Thorpe, less than a mile from the famous stepping stones at the entrance to the Dove Dale gorge. Named after the novel by Sir Walter Scott, it offers excellent facilities and is surrounded by extensive grounds

Leader Sally Smith Sally Smith has over 20 years experience working in the horticulture sector in varied roles from a college lecturer, a researcher for the BBC at RHS Chelsea Flower show, to being a gardening advisor at Garden Organic Ryton. She is passionate about all plants whether ornamental, humble vegetables or wild flowers and loves to share this knowledge when visiting gardens. Sally believes every plant has a story to tell when put into the context of the place in which it is growing, linking plants to the garden’s history and the people who garden there past and present. Sally is also a walking leader.
