The events of the past year have left their mark, however: old friendships will be challenged, and new relationships will blossom. In an era increasingly defined by women’s liberation, social progress and scientific growth, the 1970s begin for Oxford’s finest with the discovery of a body on a canal towpath on New Year’s Day.

The Swamp TUE Aug 18 | 9p The history of the Florida Everglades is a dramatic yet little-known story of humanity’s attempt to conquer nature. Told through the lives of a handful of colorful and resolute characters, from hucksters to politicians to unlikely activists, this film explores the repeated efforts in the 19th century to transform what was seen as a vast and useless wasteland into an agricultural and urban paradise.
