    ABOUT THIS CRITICAL DIMENSION DATA FILE There are databases that record critical dimensions of production sailboats that handicappers may use to identify yachts that race and to help them determine a sailing number to score competitive events. These databases are associated with empirical or performance handicapping systems worldwide and are generally available from those organizations via internet access. This data file contains dimensions for some, but not all, production boats reported to USPHRF since 1995. These data may be used to support performance handicapping by affiliated USPHRF fleets. There are many more boats in databases that sailmakers and handicappers possess. The USPHRF Technical Subcommittee and the US SAILING Offshore Office have several. This Adobe Acrobat file contains data mostly supplied by USPHRF affiliated fleets, a few manufacturers, naval architects, and others making contributions to database. While this data file is generally helpful, it does contain errors of omission and inaccuracies that are left to users to rectify by sending corrections to USPHRF by way of the data form below. The form also asks for additional information that anticipates the annual fall data collection from USPHRF affiliated fleets. Return this form to the USPHRF Committee c/o US SAILING. How do you access information in this data file of well over 5000 records for a specific boat? Use Adobe Acrobat Reader’s ‘FIND” feature, <CTRL-F>. The Women's Camp was chaired b y Cynthia Darwin and Mary Lynn Painton with the instructional program run by Barbara Hawn. This camp was busting at the seams with 64 women signed up and another 30 on the waiting list. This camp has become so popular it has lead to a new organization called the Women's Sailing Association.

    PENDING USEF APPROVAL REVISED AUGUST 12, 2021 Where did the summer go? We hope everyone has had a successful summer season showing all around the country! We can’t wait to welcome you back to the desert for an incredible fall season this year. No doubt it is our most ambitious undertaking yet. We have been hard at work on improving every aspect of our horse show – the physical facility, the competition, and our hospitality. The good news is we think you and your horses will enjoy the desert even more! The challenge is that many things will, once again, be new and different this season. So, here goes my attempt to summarize the exciting changes that you will see and benefit from this fall and winter. WHAT’S NEW AT THE DESERT INTERNATIONAL HORSE PARK 1. EXPANDED BRIDLE PATH – We have continued the bridle path along the Southern boundary of the property, nearly tripling the length of the pathway. The path is typically 20 feet wide and now consists of sand footing the entire length. 2. ADDITIONAL SCHOOLING RING – We have built another new schooling ring, measuring 250’x250’ past the paddocks. This should be available for use this fall and will have new footing in it. 3. UPGRADED PADDOCKS – We have re-graded the paddocks and installed a new irrigation system. We hope you’ll see a fair bit of new grass when you arrive this fall. 4. NEW GRASS ARENA – It is hard to miss! We are incredibly proud of this new arena and can’t wait to see horses ride on it.

So, here goes my attempt to summarize the exciting changes that you will see and benefit from this fall and winter. WHAT’S NEW AT THE DESERT INTERNATIONAL HORSE PARK 1. EXPANDED BRIDLE PATH – We have continued the bridle path along the Southern boundary of the property, nearly tripling the length of the pathway. The path is typically 20 feet wide and now consists of sand footing the entire length. 2. ADDITIONAL SCHOOLING RING – We have built another new schooling ring, measuring 250’x250’ past the paddocks. This should be available for use this fall and will have new footing in it. 3. UPGRADED PADDOCKS – We have re-graded the paddocks and installed a new irrigation system. We hope you’ll see a fair bit of new grass when you arrive this fall. 4. NEW GRASS ARENA – It is hard to miss! We are incredibly proud of this new arena and can’t wait to see horses ride on it.

    National Handicap for Cruisers (NHC) - Base List The NHC Base list should be used in conjunction with the "Rules and Guidance" document available on the rya website: www.rya.org.uk/racing/pages/nhc.aspx. The base list contains base numbers for a large number of designs. Where a design is not featured on the base list a club should get in contact with the RYA technical department ([email protected]). The base numbers should be used for boats taking part in a club sereis where a club number has not been developed. The base list should also be used to allocate base numbers to boats for their first race in a regatta sereis. It is important to take note of the design year as their may be 2 or more numbers for the same design may be available.
