* * * NEW DEVELOPMENTS * * * We were all very sad to say farewell to Dr Veale and Dr Haworth on their retirement at the end of March. We wish them both a long and happy retirement. We welcomed Dr Natalie Esposito as a new GP Partner to the Practice in February and congratulate her on her recent marriage. We are happy to announce that we now have a full nursing team and welcome Yvonne Welsh and Gaynor Wild to the Jessop team. We also welcome Shannon Betts to the Jessop team as our Young Apprentice.

CHLAMYDIA SCREENING Did you know that Chlamydia is the most commonly diagnosed STI in the UK? Did you know it usually only takes a one off dose of antibiotics to clear it up? We offer a free and simple urine test kit for anyone, male or female, aged 15 - 25 to pick up and do as part of the national screening programme. The screening is confidential and the results can be sent to you by text, email, phone or post. We won’t be informed of the results unless you say so. Pick up a pack from our waiting rooms or ask for one at your next appointment. If in doubt check it out, re-testing is also a good idea with every change of partner.

ISSUE NO 4 April 2011 Flu Vaccinations 2011 This year our flu vaccination clinics are to be held on the morn- ings of Saturday 8th October 2011 at the Ripley branch and on Saturday 29th October 2011 at the Greenhill branch. We would like to invite all patients who qualify for a Flu vaccination to phone and book an appointment for these clinics from September 1st 2011. Jessop Medical Practice will not be sending out routine invitation letters this year or in the future. Information about our seasonal flu campaign will be advertised in surgery and around the local pharmacies each year. DO you qualify for a flu vaccination?
