NCAA Frozen Four • April 10-12 Pepsi Center - Denver, Colo. Head Coach Mike Schafer `86 Mike Schafer, the Jay R. Bloom ‘77 Head Coach of Men’s Ice Hockey, is in his 13th season at the * ECAC Hockey Game helm of the Big Red. Schafer has a 246-134-45 career record and has guided the Big Red to six ~ at Blue Cross Arena (Rochester, N.Y.) NCAA tournament appearances. The 12th coach in Cornell men’s hockey history, he has won ^ at Madison Square Garden (New York, N.Y.) four ECAC Hockey League tournament titles, three league regular-season championships and 1 is a three-time ECAC Hockey League Coach of the Year. Schafer, with ECAC Hockey Standings 246 career wins to his credit, is the winningest coach in Cornell history, (as of Feb. 12) passing Dick Bertrand’s 230 on Jan. 27, 2007, against Colgate at Lynah League Overall Rink.
