Te Awamutu Junior Soccer came along in leaps and bounds this season with the Wildcats and Panthers teams winning Waikato championships. The Wildcats, coached by David Anderson and managed by Angie Dexter, went through the entire season unbeaten. The season started with the Wildcats dominating the 12th Grade Preliminary 3A competi- tion, winning all five games for a maximum 15 points — head- ing off Hamilton Marist Wasps on 12 points, Glenview Phoenix 9, Pirongia 6, Hamilton West Hammers 3, Southwell Girls 1st IX 0.
