On average, 630 degrees have been awarded each academic year. Sixty percent (59.8%) of these awards were Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) transfer degrees. The number of awards by degree and certificate is presented on the following page. Survey Methodology SUNY Adirondack surveys its graduates on a regular basis. Each graduate has the opportunity to respond to both postsecondary education and employment questions. The number of survey responses for each graduating class are presented on page three. In the years 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2015-16, the graduate survey was administered on paper and follow-up calls were made to graduates. Beginning in 2016-17, an electronic survey has been used to collect graduate data. Many questions within the survey instrument have remained constant and the wording of a few questions has been modified slightly. More recently, questions regarding applied learning experiences, student engagement while on campus, and alumni contact have been added. For example, beginning in 2016-17, the responses to an employment question were modified so the data collected could be used to support the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical grant annual report. In 2017-18, to shorten the graduate survey and make it easier to complete, the survey was split into two parts: one administered at the time of graduation and a second part to be administered at a later point in time. Follow up on employment characteristics of the 2018 graduating class remains to be accomplished. Executive Summary Overall, on average, 98.2% of SUNY Adirondack graduates report that they are satisfied with their SUNY Adirondack educational experience. Ninety-five percent (95%) of the 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19 graduates who responded to the survey indicated that SUNY Adirondack assisted them in achieving their educational goals. Graduates who transfer attended approximately 140 colleges and universities within one year of graduation. The same group attended colleges and universities in 45 states and the District of Columbia through March 2019. Over 50% of survey respondents report that they are employed by Warren, Washington and Saratoga County employers who represent many different businesses and industries. SUNY Adirondack graduates report that they are working in a wide variety of positions that have entry-level to broad responsibilities. 1 – Graduate Survey Summary Report SUNY ADIRONDACK GRADUATE SUMMARY REPORT: 2013-14 to 2018-19 SUNY ADIRONDACK Degrees and Certificates Awarded 2013-14 to 2018-19 (July 1, Year 1 through June 30, Year 2) 2013-2014 2014-2015 2015-16 2016-17 2017-18 2018-19 1 Yr 5 Yr Program Male Female Total Male Female Total Male Female Total Male Female Total Male Female Total Male Female Total Change Change AA & AS (Transfer) 112 159 271 209 273 482 148 214 362 158 250 408 163 188 351 157 228 385 9.7% 42.1% Business Administration 18 13 31 37 44 81 35 37 72 34 38 72 34 28 62 27 19 46 -25.8% 48.4% Computer Science 3 0 3 14 0 14 5 1 6 7 1 8 12 1 13 9 1 10 -23.1% 233.3% Creative Writing 1 1 2 5 3 8 2 7 9 2 2 4 2 5 7 0 3 3 -57.1% 50.0% Criminal Just.
