Marie Selby Botanical Gardens "Plant Kingdom"

Cascades of color sprawl across approximately 15 acres (6 hectares) at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. An art museum where you will laugh, smile and be amused, that's what Marietta Museum of Art & Whimsy is all about. Created to be a happy place, it is the brainchild of Marietta Lee and opened its doors in 2010. This seasonal museum highlights whimsical art form through its paintings, stained glass and sculptures. As you stroll through the galleries and by Derick McKinney on sculpture garden, you will feel as if you are in a whimsical place such as Unsplash Alice in Wonderland or Peter Pan's Neverland. Though it is not a children's museum, it is a fabulous place for everyone who is a child at heart. The facade belies the eclectic and playfulness of its interiors, so don't go by the cover of this museum. Winged pigs, huge pink flamingos, a rocket ship made of stainless steel, decorative flamingos and more will amaze you at not only the whimsy of the artist but also of the creativity of its execution. Check out the museum's workshops and classes if want to learn this type of art form. Though there is no admission price, a donation of 5USD is appreciated.
