Format Descriptions:
Format Format description File Extension (s) DSN format is an ASCII format file that can be generated by .dsn virtually every PCB layout system on the market with only a few DSN .DSN exceptions. It contains a complete description of a PCB .cct necessary for engineering review of placement, and routing.
It is usually an export for the SpeCCTra auto-router. DXF Data eXchange Format – 2D Mechanical information. .dxf Portable Document Format – industry standard document PDF format. Using a print export to PDF format is required at a minimum. CADIF is an ASCII neutral file generated from Zuken PCB layout CADIF software packages: CR5000 and Visula. This is a system-specific .paf file format. EDIF stands for Electronic Design Interchange Format. This is an .edf EDIF industry standard file type for export of design data from .edi schematic capture systems. Export in .eds GenCAD is an industry-specific standard output format used to GenCAD .cad communicate PCB design information. Mentor (.mgn) Allegro (.mcm/.brd) Native files are an intermediate file in ASCII format.
