Mike Cahill enters his seventh season as the head coach his tenure at West Irondequoit, 14 swimmers were named of RIT’s swimming and diving teams . In that time, he has Monroe County MVPs and eight swimmers earned re-established RIT as one of the top swimming and diving Outstanding Swimmer of the Section Five Championship squads in the Northeast region . Meet honors . In 2009, he led the men’s team to a 6-4 overall record, Cahill is the founder of the West Irondequoit Swim and an eighth place finish in the UNYSCSA Champion- Club and works at several swimming camps in the area, ships . He also coached the women to a 5-6 overall record . including the University of Rochester . During the 2007-08 season, Cahill led the Tigers Earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration men’s team to a fifth place finish at the UNYSCSA from RIT in 1972, Cahill was a standout swimmer for the Championships and had 11 athletes earn All-Empire 8 Tigers for four seasons . In 1993, Cahill was inducted into honors . Divers Quinn Donahoe and Matt Joseph earned the RIT Sports Hall of Fame and in 2002 he was inducted All-American honors . The RIT men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams return is healthy and ready to return as a strong competitor .
