On October 7th, 1995, the model was adopted by the Rochester Police Department when they received permission to start a Rochester Chapter of “DO THE RIGHT THING”. ** “DO THE RIGHT THING” was instituted to reward children for their positive accomplishments and to enhance the lives of many of our city’s needy youth. ** The goals of the program are to: Reinforce socially desirable behavior among youth in the community.
