The academic session 2019-20 was abruptly disrupted due to the lockdown, and then continued in an online mode. This altered the academic calendar, and the traditional methods of holding lectures, examinations and cultural activities were reoriented to online platforms. Our teachers and students displayed a resilient spirit and all functioning was smoothly shifted to new modes. Lectures were efficiently conducted online, laboratory experiments were shifted to virtual labs and simulations, and even various extra-curricular activities were enthusiastically held through virtual platforms. We continue to strive towards academic excellence and engaging in co-curricular activities, and this path is facilitated by our dedicated faculty members, administrative staff and infrastructural support. The college made several infrastructural changes for conducive and efficient teaching-learning environment. A new Chemistry laboratory was inaugurated for better ease of experiments. In June, 80 KW solar plant was commissioned which will make the campus energy efficient. The wi-fi facility has been enhanced and makes the online working smoother. Mother Dairy kiosk was inaugurated in the premises to give healthy and hygienic food options to the students. The college got new signages for the gates that display the name prominently. Through the initiative of Delhi Government MLAs an open gym and badminton court have been established. While the examination and teaching moved completely to online mode, certain administrative work requires physical presence of staff. The Covid-19 protocols are carefully followed including regular sanitisation of the campus and regulated entry at the gate with temperature check. Also wearing of masks and social distancing norms are maintained in office. The various committees of the college give a platform to the students to participate in activities like cultural events, social welfare programmes, community service, sensitization programmes, debates, and adventure to ensure their holistic growth.
