Poppy Tierney - Biography A beguiling beauty with a sultry voice, Poppy is well known to theatre goers in lead roles such as Tess and Cosette. Having just finished Mary Poppins in London, she is currently starring as Eliza in a landmark production of My Fair Lady in Denmark. She is also working on her self-penned debut album, “Unlock Me” and just released a digital single as a taster. Her musical style is an amalgam of Lisa Stansfield, Shakira and Alanis Morissette and her favourite band is the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Poppy has had an incredible career in show business from starring in London's West End to major blockbuster movies and the international concert platform. She also starred in major commercials. Most notably she was the Special K girl in the UK and the FIAT girl in Italy. Born in the East End of London where she still lives, Poppy trained at Italia Conti (London) and TVI studios, Los Angeles. She is a trained actress, singer and dancer. TV and STAGE Summary. On film she can be seen as Margarita in "Batman Begins" (Warner Brothers). On television she had played parts in "The Bill", "Agony" and "Hooked on Books".
