NFL Extra Week 20 SEGMENT TRT Dr. John Frank pt. 1 5:28 Dr. John Frank pt. 2 5:42 Packers v Falcons 5:30 2:16:23 PT1 DR. JOHN FRANK IN NEW YORK CITY’S FLAT IRON DISTRICT, DR. JOHN FRANK ARRIVES FOR WORK. DR-DO YOU HAVE ANY EAR ISSUE? SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE I CAN’T HEAR DR FRANK, MY HUSBAND IS ALWAYS COMPLAINING. DR-THIS EAR LOOKS GREAT-YOU CAN’T HEAR OR YOU DON’T LISTEN? BOTH. DR-AH HA-OK. THAT’S SELECTIVE HEARING. OK LEAN FORWARD. AS AN OTOLARYNGOLOGIST (OH-TOE-LARIN-GOLL-OH-GIST), HE’S FAMILIAR WITH THE MALADIES OF THE EAR, NOSE, AND THROAT YOU DON’T HAVE ALLERGIES DO YOU? UM HM….THOUGH FEW OF HIS PATIENTS ARE PROBABLY FAMILIAR WITH HIS FORMER CAREER SAY AGH. AGH AS A TIGHT END FOR THE SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS…A CAREER AS INTERESTING AS IT WAS UNLIKELY. 84 BILL WALSH DRAFTED ME IN THE 2ND ROUND. I NEVER ANTICIPATED THAT I WOULD REALLY GONNA BE PLAYING IN THE NFL OR EVEN DRAFTED SO I DIDN’T KNOW WHO HE WAS. THE FEW YEARS WHEN I WAS IN COLLEGE I WASN’T FOLLOWING THE NFL I WAS JUST A CHEMISTRY MAJOR FROM OHIO STATE ON MY WAY TO MEDICAL SCHOOL, SO THE PHONE RANG (SOUND OF RINGING PHONE) I DIDN’T SAY WHO IS THIS BUT HE SAID THIS IS THE HEAD COACH-HE SAID JOHN, CONGRATULATIONS. THE ONLY COACH WALSH I KNEW WAS THE COACH OF ARMY AT THE TIME, GEORGE WELCH AND SO I SAID AH, COACH WELCH! HE SAID NO JOHN, IT’S COACH WALSH-HE JUST SAID OH WELL, WE’LL SEE YOU WHEN YOU GET OUT HERE AND I THOUGHT EW-THIS IS NOT GONNA BE FUN.
