EVENING Meeting MARCH 28, 2017 Flamingo Hotel and Conference Center 2777 Fourth St, Santa Rosa

5:15 PM NO HOST COCKTAILS 6:00 PM Short Business Meeting 6:30 PM DINNER SPEAKER TO FOLLOW

SPEAKER: TIM DONNELLY TOPIC: A PATIROT, NOT A POLITICIAN

Outspoken, church-going former State Assemblyman Tim Donnelly is the featured speaker at our March 28 dinner meeting. He was a gubernatorial candidate in the 2014 election, running against GOP contender Neel Kashkari, among others. In 2005, in an effort to help stem the tide of illegal immigrants flowing into Arizona, he founded a chapter of the Minutemen, a volunteer border patrol organization. Donnelly will discuss his new book Patriot, Not Politician: Win or Go Homeless, inspired by his wife Rowena’s comment about his 2010 run for the Assembly. He will tell us his story about nearly giving up when he felt God called on him for the purpose to “make a difference.” He will share his insights on how to get elected and how to be effective once in office. Telling Donnelly that something can’t be done is an invitation to the challenge! He will sell and autograph books at the meeting. A RESERVATION MADE IS A RESERVATION PAID $30.00 with reservations - NO RESERVATION $35.00 Reservations should be made with Nancy Maier, 538-9804 Please mail your check by March 24, 2017 Make your check out to SRRWF and mail to... PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

How many times have you heard me say bring a guest - friend, relative, neighbor, whoever to our meet- ings? Well, I admit you all did just that. At the February General Meeting, we had 47 attendees. Sixteen of the forty-seven were guests. We now have three new members. It is important to bring guests. Check out our website -- www.santarosarwf.org. We have a brand new Facebook page - www.facebook.com/ srrwf. Thanks go to Sandy Metzger who set it up and keeps it updated. If you have comments, please join in. The updating of the 2017 club roster will begin soon so, please, if you have any changes, get them to Ruth Van Bemmel or me. If you are not receiving your monthly Newsletter, email version or hard copy, let me know. As I've said before, if we are not aware of things, nothing will change. Let's remember that days after an election, win or loose, the Democrats get back to work. They go at it 24/7 creating false news, fake news and any story that will demean a Republican. We, all Republicans, need to stand up and be heard. Republicans tend to think that just because we won an election - in this case, the Presidency, the Senate and the House, we can sit back and not have to do anything more. How wrong we are! The facts are that there are many more Democrats in Sonoma County than Republicans. When you read the Editorial Page of the Press Democrat, how many letters do you see that were written by Republicans???? That tells us that we need to get going writing letters and begin replying to all the senseless letters that are printed. We owe it to our Country, our President and our Congress to be heard - loud and clear. We want them to know we have their backs. Nancy Maier, President

MEMBERSHIP - Jennifer Delany & Willie Vaughn Welcome New Members - Paula Alden, Anne Davis, Halian Hail and Marilyn Valius. We hope you will enjoy our monthly meetings and share our newsletter with friends and family. On March 15th the Los Angeles Republican Women will lead a postcard mailing project to show support for our new president. SRRWF, along with many of our fellow CFRW members, will overwhelm the President with our support and belief in him. Most importantly, we will innundate the White House Post Office with all of our support. If each one of us - every supporter - writes a single postcard and puts them in the mail all on the same day that will make an impression. The mailing address is: The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C. Through membership we hope to educate and help inform the next generations to believe in Republican Principles.

Kellyanne Elizabeth Fitzpatrick was born on January 20, 1967. She was raised by her mother, grandmother and two unmarried aunts in the Atco section of Wa- terford Township, New Jersey, and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1985. Conway credits her experience working for eight summers on a blueberry farm in Hammonton, New Jersey, for teaching her a strong work ethic. "The faster you went, the more money you'd make," she said. At age 16, she won the New Jersey Blueberry Princess pageant. At 20, she won the World Champion Blueberry Packing competition. She states, "Everything I learned about life and business started on that farm." Conway received her Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude in political science from Trinity College, Washington, D.C., where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She then earned a Juris Doctor with honors from the George Washington University Law School in 1992. She served as a judicial clerk for Judge Richard A. Levie of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia after graduation. Conway entered the polling business with Wirthlin Group, a Republi- can polling firm. She also worked for Luntz Research Companies before founding her own firm, The Polling Company, in 1995. Conway's com- pany has consulted on consumer trends, often trends regarding women. In the 1990s, Conway, with other young conservative women Laura Ingraham, Barbara Olsen and Ann Coulter, helped turn punditry into "stylish stardom" in both Washington and cable television. In another re- view of the era in the capital, Conway as Fitzpatrick put it that her "broad mind and small waist have not switched places". Conway married to George T. Conway III in 2001. The couple have four children, including twins, and live in Alpine, New Jersey.
