Bold Denotes Active Player ** Member of the Duramed FUTURES Tour All figures as of October 2012 florida’s amateur success Summ er Success in Amateur Play During the offseason, members of the women’s golf team used their free time to compete in amateur events . Seniors Isabelle Lendl and Mia Piccio qualified for the 2010 United States Women’s Amateur Championship as they each recorded top-five finishes in their respective sectional qualifying events . Lendl also qualified for this year’s championship and advanced through stroke play and through the first round of match play before being eliminated, but still finished in the top-32 of the tournament . Lendl—was a member of the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team and a Second Team All-SEC selection during her freshman season and is now a three-year letter winner for the Gators—over the three days of stroke play, Lendl played against some of the best players in the world and proved she belonged with the best as she fired two straight rounds of 73, which is right around her career average, to place in a tie for 32 and easily qualify her for the match play rounds . Piccio, who has led the team in stroke average her first two years at UF and is now also a three-year letter winner at UF, participated in the 110th North & South Women’s Amateur along with Lendl this summer . The duo carded scores of 73 and 74 respectively in the second round of stroke play to put themselves in good position above the Top-60 cut line after also shooting in the 70s in round one . Lendl ended up advancing to match play of the North and South after carding a 1-under (71) in the final round of stroke play . Lendl had her best day of the tournament in the third and final round of stroke play to not only make the Top-16 cut, but gave herself plenty of breathing room as she finished stroke play in a tie for ninth place . The third returning player for the Gators this year is sophomore Camilla Hedberg, who was busy overseas on the European amateur circuit . Hedberg finished in the top-25 of the International European Ladies Amateur Championships back in August and then followed that up with a stellar showing at the World Team Amateur Championships in Turkey . The sophomore not only led her native country of Spain to fifth place finish, but also finished second overall after rounds of 70, 72, 70 and 68, all even or under par . On August 1, 2010, Piccio won the Women’s Trans Amateur Championship, located at the Country Club of Lincoln in Lincoln, Neb . by topping Agostina Parmigiani of Argentina 3 and 2 in the final . The Philippines native was the qualifying medalist, earning herself the number one seed in the match play bracket . She is one of 13 players in the history of the tournament to finish as a qualifying medalist en route to winning the title and was the first to accomplish that feat since Paige Mackenzie in 2005 .

MARK BOSTICK GOLF COURSE With a brand-new $1 .8 million clubhouse renovation and a $4 million course renovation in 2001, Florida boasts one of the finest overall facilities in all of collegiate golf . Since 1962, the Mark Bostick Golf Course (formerly the Gainesville Golf and Country Club) has been home to the Gators . The Gator golf program recently moved into a new era, play- ing on a fully-renovated course which opened in November of 2001 . While improvements and additions have been made over the years, this was the first full-scale renovation in 20 years . The University of Florida hired Jacksonville-based architect Bobby Weed to head up the renovation and, along with an experienced staff, he constructed a course which is challeng- ing for collegiate golfers . Par at the course remained 70 after the renovation, but the yardage was increased to 6,701 . Some holes changed only slightly, keeping some familiarity, while others were completely redesigned to challenge golfers day in and day out . Both the men’s and the women’s golf teams host tournaments at Mark Bostick Golf Course in the spring . The Mark Bostick Golf Course plays host to the annual Gator Invitational and Gator Women’s Golf Invitational in addition to the yearly Gator Golf Day, where alumni and current PGA and LPGA Tour players return each year to give their time and money to continue the winning tradition of the Gator golf program . Various state tournaments and the SEC Championships have also been held at Mark Bostick Golf Course . “It is a tremendous asset to our team to have such C ourse facts : a wonderful facility and golf course right here on • Located less than a mile from campus, the University Golf Course and the Guy Bostick Clubhouse, home of the men’s and women’s golf teams, is situated on 110 acres of heav- campus .
