By the time we reached the rec it was nearly half past one, that's when all the floats get judged. The Cubs won this year, Roseanne Ship was the Gala Queen, Lewis Freestone the Prince and Leilah Osman the Princess. It was a nice day with people running stalls and all different activities going on. Mum and Dad came second in the wheelbarrow race, and there were lots of children's races. The funniest race was the electric scooter race, which I'm Gala royalty: Lewis, Roseanne and Leilah sure will be a big hit for lots more places because it was on the Anglian News. Years ago, the River Lark was much wider than it is today. Arthur's Snippets At one point there was a ferry drawbridge. 12 Parish Council News The following is an abbreviated version of the IPC minutes for the 10th May meeting. Remember that any parishioner may request a copy of the full minutes from IPC. Parishioners' Question Time: Mr R. Sheldrick asked if it would be possible to lock the Village Hall Car Park gate to help alleviate the current problems relating to windows and lights being broken by footballs kicked against them. The Council is to consider this.
