June 25 – June 29, 2019 Capitals Development Camp Notes The Washington Capitals will host their 2019 Prospect Development Camp CAMP SCHEDULE from June 25 to June 29, 2019 at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. All on-ice sessions are free and open to the public. Tuesday, June 25 9 a.m.: On ice (Arlington rink) Capitals development camp is an annual, week-long summer session with 9 a.m.: On ice (Capitals rink) on- and off-ice workouts designed to help Capitals prospects improve their 2:45 p.m.: Goalies on ice (Capitals rink) games and allow the Capitals to evaluate their progress. This is the 13th 3:15 p.m.: All players on ice (Capitals rink) consecutive year that the camp is being held at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. 4:30 p.m.: Media availability Past development camps have been held in Odenton, Md., and Hershey, 7 p.m.: Washington Capitals Alumni Pa. Summer Classic, MedStar Capitals Iceplex, streamed live on MSN Attendees include Capitals prospects who are under contract and recent Capitals draft picks who have not been signed yet. Columbus Blue Jackets Acquire Defenseman Ryan Stanton from Colorado Avalanche in Exchange for Defenseman Cody Goloubef
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: NOVEMBER 28, 2016 COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS ACQUIRE DEFENSEMAN RYAN STANTON FROM COLORADO AVALANCHE IN EXCHANGE FOR DEFENSEMAN CODY GOLOUBEF COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have traded defenseman Cody Goloubef to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for defenseman Ryan Stanton, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced tonight. Stanton has been assigned to the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate. Stanton, 27, has appeared in 120 career NHL games, registering four goals and 23 assists for 27 points with 71 penalty minutes and a +14 plus/minus rating with Washington, Vancouver and Chicago. He tallied career highs in assists, points and games played in 2013-14 when he notched 1-15-16 and 32 penalty minutes in 64 games with the Canucks. The following season, he added 3-8-11 and 35 penalty minutes in 54 outings with the club. The St. Albert, Alberta native has also registered 14-66-80 and 430 penalty minutes in 299 career AHL games, including 1-3-4 and 29 penalty minutes in 15 games with the San Antonio Rampage this season. In 2015-16, he collected 4-12-16 and 69 penalty minutes in 60 games with Hershey, helping the Bears advance to the 2016 Calder Cup Finals, where they were defeated by the Monsters. Prior to signing with the Blackhawks as a free agent in 2010, Stanton collected 19-83-102 and 337 penalty minutes in 242 career games with the Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League. Goloubef, 26, was selected by the Blue Jackets in the second round of the 2008 NHL Draft and tallied 2-16-18 and 41 penalty minutes in 96 career NHL games with the club. -
