Draft summary: The Senators have drafted a total of 211 players since the team first participated in an NHL Draft in 1992. The team has not had a first-round selection on two occasions: in 2010 and in 2014. Ottawa traded its first-round pick (16th overall) in 2010 to St. Louis in exchange for defenceman David Rundblad. On Dec. 17, 2011, the Senators traded Rundblad and their second-round selection in 2012 to the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for forward . The Senators traded their first-round pick in 2014 to the along with forwards Stefan Noesen and Jakob Silfverberg in exchange for on July 5, 2013.
