The Bobcats are coming off a 3-0 victory on Tuesday against Prairie View A&M. In the victory Sydney Curry and Gabbi Cottee each had a goal and an assist. The performance gives Curry a team-leading two goals and five points on the year. It was Cottee’s first career goal and third career as- sist.

Houston Baptist also comes in with a record of 2-2-0. The Huskies beat UTSA 1-0 in the season opener and UC Riverside, 2-1 while dropping deci- sions to Houston 3-2, and Loyola Marymount 2-1.

Rice enters the weekend 1-1-1. The Owls beat McNeese 2-0 on Sunday and lost to Baylor 1-0 in the season opener. The Owls tied LSU 1-1 on Aug. 24 in Baton Rouge.

Her three points on the night, surpass her 2008 Coach of the Year previous career-total of two, accomplished last season, when Cottee knocked in two assists. 2009 Southland Conference Coach of the Year Continuing Upward Trend Team Championships Last season, Taylor Kelley had a breakout season. She had five goals and four assists, being named to the 1999 Southland Conference Tournament All-Southland Conference Second-Team. This season she has continued her strong play, with six shots.
