Balance Work at Rokahn Bridge 1.0 20000 -do- -do- “TERMS & CONDITIONS” (1) Tender form/ BOQ can be downloaded after publication in the news papers by the original registered contractors from Local Council Board web site, (www.lgkp.gov.pk) (2) The bidders are required to fill electronic bids online and attach scan copy of bid security in shape of original call deposit in the name of procuring entity along with (additional security if any) and submit hard copy of the same printed electronic bid form to the procuring entity/ executing agency. (3) 2% earnest money must be accompanied with the tender documents in shape of original call deposit in the name of TMO/Administrator-TMA DIR from scheduled banks. Documents like enlistment copy of Local Govt./ LCB for the year 2019-2020, Registration of PEC and NIC must be attached with tender form and call deposit for each scheme in a separate envelope highlighting name of work (written over the envelope). (4) The tender forms and BOQ’s must be signed by the original contractor. (5) The successful contractors have to pay stamp duty along with contingency charges and all applicable Provincial/ Federal Government taxes issued from time to time. (6) The contractors/ bidders who quote their bid/ rates more than 10% below the engineer estimate shall submit an additional security in the form of call deposit equal to 8% of the estimated cost. After commencement of works by the successful bidders 8% call deposit may be replaced with a bank guarantee of the same amount from the scheduled bank. (7) Any electronic bidder who provides false or materially inaccurate or incomplete or does not send information in hard form will be disqualified as per KPPRA Act Section 29(1) read with KPPRA Rule 43. Furthermore, the procuring entity/ executing agency will recommend and send cases for debarring/ blacklisting and well initiate/ take actions in light of the approved procedure/ mechanism as per KPPRA Act Section 29(2) read with KPPRA Rule 44. (8) 8% additional security of the successful bidder shall be forfeited in case the successful bidder repudiates the contract or fails to submit performance guarantee. (9) In case the bidder quotes more than 10% below rate the estimated cost and the bid is not accompanied by the additional security then the bid shall be considered as non–responsive. (10) The tenders shall be processed according to “above/below system” based on Market Rate System. (11) Bid security of some or all the bidders will be retained by the employer till approval of Tender/ Bid validity period. (12) Complete bids (both original and duplicate) must reach to the TMA DIR office on or before the fixed date/ time and the duplicate copy will be sent to the Local Council Board, Peshawar through the employee of TMA DIR as per instructions of the Provincial Government. (13) The procuring entity shall evaluate difference between the quoted rates by the lowest bidder (successful bidder) and second lowest bidder on the basis of general principle of economy. If the difference is more than the forfeited amount of additional security of successful bidder the contract shall not be awarded to the second lowest bidder and the procurement opportunity shall be advertised afresh keeping in view the general principles of public procurement as enshrined under Section 3 of KPPRA Act, 2012. (Reference KPPRA Notification No. KPPRA/M&E/Estt:/1-13/2017-2018, dated 27/06/2018) (14) The PEC & KPRA Registration (active tax payer) must be valid for current financial year. (15) All applicable taxes will be recoverable as per directives of the government in vogue. (16) Incomplete/conditional or telegraphic tenders shall not be accepted. (17) The department is not bound to provide any machinery/testing laboratory & the total cost on it will be borne by contractors themselves. (18) The Engineer estimates are framed on the MRS 2019. (19) Bids will be valid for Ninety (90) days. (20) In case of bids become tie the award of contract shall be decided through a free toss which shall be binding and final. (21) Work orders will be issued subject to release of fund from Finance Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (22) Any addition made in terms & conditions in the NIT advertised will be implemented as per KPPRA Rules. The current work is design to highlight the facts, real causes and impacts of deforestation and forest degradation in P “Dir Kohistan” of K.P.K Pakistan, by incorporating the view of local people through a questionnaire. According to this survey about 83% of the local people are dependent on these forests and contribute to deforestation in one of different ways regardless of any rule regulation. The current study shows that the extensive deforestation in the mention area occurs for household needs (cooking, furniture, heating, earning etc). Another growing cause is the cutting of these forests for livestock purposes. Along this the nonscientific grazing is a key point in the deforestation. Unemployment and poverty is another attractive factor in the degradation of these forests. However the role of black marketing and role of stake holders on these forests should not be neglected in deforestation.

Kakar2 and N.Ali1 1Department of Zoology, University of Peshawar, Pakistan 2Department of Zoology, University of Balochistan, Quetta, Pakistan *Corresponding Author’s Email: [email protected] ABSTRACT The study was conducted to determine the fish diversity in River Panjkora, Dir Lower from April to September 2012. A total of 781 individuals of fish representing 25 species, belonging to five families were caught during the study period. The fish fauna in the river was dominated by species belonging to the family Cyprinidae (49.93%) followed by Nemacheilidae (27.52%). Families Channidae, Sisoridae and Mastacembelidae constituted 10.88%, 10.37% and 1.28% respectively. Most dominant species were Crossocheilusdiplocheilus(15.492%) followed by Garragotyla (15.1%) and Cyprinuscarpio (8.194%). These species were abundant especially during the months of May and July. Ctenopharyngodonidella (Family: Cyprinidae), Triplophysamicrops (Family: Nemacheilidae)andSchisturamacrolepis (Family: Nemacheilidae) were the least existing species with 0.128%, 0.512% and 1.152% abundance respectively. Physico-chemical parameters of water were also monitored, mean values of which were as follows; temperature (21.275°C), pH (7.325), dissolved Oxygen (8.975mg/L), electric conductivity (201.675µs/cm), total dissolved solid (127.912 mg/L), total suspended solid (129.857 mg/L), total hardness (118.75mg/l), free CO2(4.3 mg/L), turbidity (1.34NTU), salinity (0.0075 mg/L), Ca hardness (77.5mg/L), Mg hardness(43.25mg/L), Sodium(5.1mg/L), Potassium(2.825mg/L), total alkalinity (98mg/L), Chloride (15.93mg/L) and nitrates (0.035mg/L).
